All parts move freely. There is a burr in the bottom as seen in the photo, and it looks like there is one adjustment screw missing. It is marked Atlantic; made in Germany; 3 etched on top; unit 2.219"p.i.r stamped in lever; M and 12918 stamped in the side. I have several more numbering machines that I will be listing. I put a number on the bottom for inventory purposes that can easily be removed with alcohol. I also have rollers available for Chief and Davidson presses available. Hi and welcome to my auction. For your bidding consideration is what I believe to be a printer's metal numbering machine insert. The following markings are found on the body: Atlantic. Leibinger, C 994296, 50, R, Made in_many(this may be Germany) What I am calling the top has: No. 6 digit places. Each digit wheel contains the following numbers: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, 9. I estimate that the numbers are 3/16" in height. The numbers move forward or ascending order. Reading another listing. I learned that the numbers are advanced when the No. is depressed- I can not advance the numbers by just thumb pressure. I used a screwdriver handle to push the No. down and saw that the numbers started to change. I do not know how firm a pressure is required to move the numbers or if there is a tension adjustment or if lubrication is required or a combination ... moreof both. The numbers rotate freely in the forward direction when resetting the counter to all zeros. Approximate body measurements are: 13/16" x 7/8" x 1-5/8" The No. and six digits protude beyond the 13/16" height. This is all I can tell you about this. Due to my lack of knowledge about this.
