Up for auction is an MPH Industries K-15 doppler radar speed gun. This unit came to us as part of a government surplus auction and was previously in service. The unit is in good cosmetic condition. There is some chipping of the paint around the edges as well as minor scratches and scuffs from regular use but doesn't have any major damage. We've tested this unit to the best of our abilities and it appears to be in good working condition. We managed to pull a reading of 14 mph in front of our shop. There is a calibration certificate dated 2009 so this unit has been in service recently until it was replaced with new equipment. Included comes the carrying case. It has a plug in connection for a cigarette lighter/12 volt power supply. Please look at all of the pictures and read this entire description before placing any bids on this item. This is an Original Authenic Radar Gun. It is not a toy and is not intended to be used as a toy. Since this is not a toy. It should not be used or treated as such. I just tested the gun by pluging it and putting the Power ON/OFF switch into the POWER ON mode. The Run LED lights up, and powers on in the RUN mode, and it also goes into STBY when the TRANSMITTER switch is moved into that position, and the STBY LED lights up. It does have Squelch/SQ/OR mode and both of those modes seem to work. The LT/ICT switch also seems to work in either of those positions. The RANGE rotating dial works and rotates in both directions, however it is missing the knob that is supposed to be there. The VOLUME position rotates in both directions and the knob is present and you can hear the volume increase and decrease in the directions when you rotate it. The outside of the case is in well used condition. It has scratches and scrapes and small dents on the outside of the case. All the screws are present and intact on the outside of the case on the sides and face of the dial indicators. The handle has all of it's screws and the push button switch clicks when you press it.
