Amelia Dickens Drew. Wife of Governor George Drew, wore these buttons at the inaugural ball in Florida in 1877 according to the accompanying note. Three Antique Victorian faux tortoise red/yellow molded or pressed HORN Buttons with gilded hand painted decoration. There are two small flowers and a butterfly on each one. These each measure app 3/4" across. And have 2 holes for a sew through attachment. Each weighs less than one gram or a total of app 2.5grams for the three. These were a gift to a 94 year old lady who has consigned these for sale. She tells me she received these when she was 13 years old from the grand-daughter of Governor Drew(Mrs M. Barden. Nee Wigginton) who lived in Leesburg, Florida. According to the note that is included, these are" Buttons worn on the inaugural gown of the wife of Governor Drew. Here is a Very Rare glossy ceramic planter figurine of Disney's Cinderella. It is Cinderella in her Ball Gown. The planter figure was made by Evan K. Shaw when the Disney Cinderella movie came out in the 1950's. It is not marked and no longer has the original label. Cinderella measures approximately 7 1/4" tall. The planter figurine is in excellent vintage condition. The only thing to mention is some crazing which is typical of this type of item and a small crack on the side of her dress. see photo's 11& 12) The planter is very well made with nice coloring and design. Condition is very nice but does have a small tear near one of the staples. Exact age of the menu is not known though we believe it is from the 1960's. It is numbered 464 on the rear on the map. It is valanced at the hemline to avoid tripping while walking& dancing. The back is longer& hugs the floor with gathers for added fullness. The leaves& stem are luxurious green velvet with rhinestone accents. The lining is a full circle of stiffened muslin to maintain the shape of the skirt. This fabulous top quality dress could easily have featured in Vogue magazine& is good enough to have been worn by a movie star.
