This is a one of a kind vintage wedding gown specifically made for my mother in 1946. This was designed and made by an employee of Priscilla of Boston. The gown is 100% satin. It has a beautiful. Long train with a pick-up. There are no zippers on this gown. There are satin covered buttons all down the back and on the sleeves from the elbow down with lace around the wrists. Exquisite hand sewn beading around the neck line. I have tried to capture the best pictures but a photographer.I am not! I have noticed a very small part of the seam that has loosened(maybe a 1/2 to 1 inch) at the very end of the buttons on the back, which is easily repairable. The pictures do this gown no justice and I know my mother would just love to know someone else would get as much joy from wearing this wedding gown as she did. Here we have a great old night gown made of lightweight white cotton with eyelet lace at the collar. It has 2 buttons down the front. The skirt has ample gathers at the top and has a wide flowing sweep. This piece is coming to you as found from a local estate. I have not tried to clean it. It has a few tiny rust spots, otherwise in great condition with no holes or tears. It is an unusually large size for a garment from this era. There is no size label. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN NET WEDDING DRESS GOWN W/SILK TRIM & CAPELET
This is an antique Victorian or Edwardian very fine net wedding dress. It is darker than in the pictures. Closer to the 9th photo in color. It hasn't been cleaned and will probably brighten up with a gentle cleaning. There is great embroidery on the capelet and skirt, both of which are scalloped. The capelet has 2 pleats on each side, front and back. The front and back are basically the same. It has light green trim around the neck and cuffs and petals or something on the shoulders. It has a capelet that is open under the arms, not sewn to the under material. It closes up the back with very small snaps including the embroidered center. There is a pale pink net underskirt and the sleeves are also lined in the pale pink, only the top under the cape is single material. There are 2 ruffles at the ends of the sleeves as well as the underskirt. ... moreThere is a waistband on the inside that closes in back with 2 hooks and eyes and has eyes and snaps on it, maybe to attach a belt or ribbon. The measurements are 16 1/6" flat across the shoulders, 16" flat under the arms, a 25" waist and is 49" long with a 66" hem circumference. The sleeves are 7" long from the shoulder top with a 16" opening. I tried to measure this without stretching so there is a little stretch or room left. Condition is very good with no holes or tears but it has darkened(could be light ecru in color) and has some darker spots on the trim in front and the right side of the cape along with a few also down the right side as seen in the 11th photo. There are underarm stains as seen in the last photo, under both arms. The green silk trim does have wear and a little splitting or shredding on the shoulder petals. At the back top of the embroidered centerpiece a snap half is off, but there, and has a resulting small hole which would be covered with the embroidered centerpiece as seen in the 9th photo. Overall for its material and age it is pretty good, the trim could be replaced. As with all antique clothing care must be given

New to the market from Connecticut Rare Civil War era wrapper/ morning gown- possibly maternity Impressive circa 1860s hoop skirt morning gown made of colorful cretonne has a princess style cut with large pleat in the back(at waist level) giving full amplitude to the bottom. Its fullness both anterior and posterior suggests the possibility of being a maternity dress. It has dropped shoulders and curved sleeves; it closes in front. From neck to hem with wooden buttons wrapped in velvet. The two pockets are made of black silk taffeta and lined in polished cotton. Mostly machine sewn it is fully lined- its upper part and the sleeves are lined in plain medium weight creme colored cotton. The skirt in striped cotton. The colors are amazingly vibrant- red. That came out of a cedar chest from a home in Guelph, Ontario. Please note all of these items were photographed on a mannequin with the measurements Bust 33" Waist 26" Hips 36, and shoulder to floor 55" and they all fit. None of the items were pinned or restrained in any way, so it should give you a good indication as to size. Normal 0 This is a lovely antique Victorian night gown with bands of hand embroidered whitework and cutwork embroidery neck and sleeves. Very good vintage condition. Delightful C1850-60 Antique Civil War era 2pc blue plaid silk hand stitched dress in very nice original condition. All lined with polished cotton. Trimmed with ruched blue trim. Lovely full shaped sleeves. The waist is 24" Bust is 34" The skirt measures 52" long in back and 46" long in front. The full skirt measures 140" around! The edges of the bodice are piped. The buttons are braided fabric covered. The bottom of the skirt is edged with a matching blue trim. The condition of this Antique dress is very good. There are a few tiny holes in the silk however it is generally in excellent condition. There are light underarm stains with very slight silk breakdown in this area. But again this is not a big issue. BROWN, BLACK & WHITE 1870S COTTON BUSTLE GOWN
This is a crisp cotton 1870's striped two piece bustle gown. The stripe is in shades of brown/black. With a narrow cream colored stripe. The applied, decorative bands are chocolate brown on the skirt, and front and bottom edge of the jacket. The sleeve and pocket banding is black. It fastens in the front with black silk buttons. The bodice is lined with white cotton excepting the bottom 10" or so. The sleeve is piped. The skirt has a white cotton waistband. No fasteners, ruffle at the bottom. There is a cotton inside pocket, black twill binding at the bottom hem. The skirt is open in the back, had a button at the bottom of the flap, which you should be able to see in the pic. The skirt was in the process of being altered. The horizontal seam, at the back and going around most of the sides, needs to be resewn. It was probably meant ... moreto be straight at the sides, with a dropped ruffle at the back center area, if you go by typical styles of the time. There is enough fabric to make a ruffle in this area, though it's beyond my modest sewing skills. The fabric. Showing best in the 4th to the last picture above, is more appealing than appears in most of the pics, the brown, or"rusty" black an unusual color combination when paired with the narrow, cream colored stripe. The bust measures about 34" Waist 32" it's 15 1/2" between the shoulder seams in back, jacket is 36 1/4" at it's longest in back. Sleeve is 23" long, skirt waist is 25" it's 41 1/2" long. There is a 1" tear next to the top button. Two tears to the skirt flap, one about 1 1/2" the other 1" it looks as if someone tore these when taking out some pleats or tucks in the skirt. There are 5-6 brownish discolorations to one of the center brown stripes. Alongside the buttonholes, these blend in somewhat with the dark brown shade of the stripe. There is a handprint-sized area of spots to the lower right skirt. A nice candidate for restoration. The fabric is crisp and appears strong. P

Antique/Vintage 1910s Edwardian- Unique Blue Pleat Lace Gown Dress B36 some tlc
Beautiful Rare Blue Lace Edwardian Dress ❤ There is a lot to be said about this dress. I purchased it from an antique store without a great deal of history but I can only note my observations. This dress is truly beautiful and romantic and is Edwardian or possibly a little earlier It is heavy being lined with a soft white cotton throughout The top up to the high neck is a heavy crepe feeling pleated area which ends above the bodice in a beautiful highlight of white lace trim interwoven with black velvet ribbon The long ruched tudor sleeves end with three press stud closures as was typical of the day The bust is darted. Lightly v shaped waist fitted and skirt long and flowing I will say there is a zip back(I can only imagine the zip was added later) However the original details are there as above the zipper the fabric covers it and is ornamented ... morewith original small white buttons(one is missing but they are for decoration only) The top of the back neckline also has two ornamental buttons and beneath closes with two press studs The back of the elbows have three faint seams. Very unique There is one press stud on the back of the left of the dress. I don’t know what it is for, but that’s the fun of history NOTES- stains and two tears- please read) Overall the dress is in one piece and possibly wearable except for the top- 1) the back needs a repair(a tear in the white crepe feel neckline from below the press studs to the zipper) that whole area I imagine was white once but now from time and staining has a tea stain color. Also the very top the small lace border has come undone and is hanging by a small bit so possibly reattachable. 2) A very tiny area at waistline has come undone. Would only need a few stitches 3) The majority of the issue is staining. It is throughout the lower skirting, it is mostly faded and appears to be in the folds although one spot is quite extensive. None of it is very dark brown*if you are good with stains and can stitch up the lace work at top of dress. You will have a very good deal

Has belt but 1/2 the rhinestone buckle is missing, it was sewn to the front of the dress but I snipped the stitches off one side to photo the dress. Has snaps on side, 2 snaps have come unstitched but the snap is attached to the other side. VINTAGE 1930'S BIAS CUT LONG IVORY WEDDING EVENING GOWN SLIP PETTICOAT
This is a vintage 1930's or 40's ivory satin bias cut long slip for a wedding or evening dress. It is not tagged. It has darts in the front for fit and closes on the left side with hooks& eyes but 1 eye is missing. At the back it looks like to panels were added for fit but they can be removed and resewn the original way as nothing else has been altered. Shown in the 8th photo. The measurements are 15 1/2" flat under the arms, a 29" waist, 36" hips and is 54" long with a hem circumference of about 90" Condition is very good, excepting the panels later added at the back, but there are stains and soiling at the hem as shown in the last pictures using the mouse. Also on the right side under the arm it looks like it was also sewn in a little and then let out again, as seen in the 3rd photo. The color is beguiling- in some lights it looks purple and in some light it looks pink and so I am calling it lavender pink. The dress comes with a separate silk satin or rayon bias cut slip with spaghetti straps in a paler shade of lavender pink, each strap of which snaps onto the shoulders of the dress with one little popper and prevents those pesky shoulder straps from being seen when the dress is worn. The lace dress is semi-sheer ... moreand has a high cowl neck in the front and a daring low V back with a square bottom just below the shoulder blades, and has several snaps and one hook and eye on the seam under the left arm for fastening and to ensure a waist hugging fit. The slip underneath also has a high front and a low back to match the dress. The tops of the arms are just covered by fluttery little cap sleeves. The lace material is bias cut in a stylized floral that is all art deco in design, and I believe it to be rayon or silk. The dress hugs the figure as only a bias cut can do, especially the hips and derriere, but at the same time the bias cut smooths the profile in the most flattering way. The dress is shown with the thin self belt, which has a rhinestone studded art deco buckle, and which is just the right length to be worn on the hips. Of course the dress can be worn without the belt too. The jacket is unique with a very elegant design, and has a narrow back separated from the elbow length, wide bell sleeves.
