Or something similar in an elegant shade of ecru, and features a pleated wrap bodice, full skirt, horizontally pleated sleeves, and a plunging back. Or something similar, in a vibrant shade of purple, and features exquisite iridescent beading in a cut out design on the bodice, a full skirt, and draping at the hip on one side. Matching jacket with shoulder pads and elaborate embroidery(which I believe was done by hand) in orange, blue, red, and gold is what makes this piece a one of a kind. I’m offering this dreamy lace gown from the‘40s. gorgeous. Head-turning design. has some worn spots. but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. As you can see. The gown features a sheer black lace overlay accented with bright floral fabric appliqués that circle the bottom third of the skirt. a profusion of tulips in rainbow colors and another flower in deep red(aster? Rhododendron? Then the under layer is a slip style with spaghetti straps. Fabric a satiny blend of manmade fibers. Add a touch of deep red velvet trimming the neckline and slightly puffed sleeves. And you have a classically romantic creation. There are no designer or size labels. But here are flat seam-to-seam measurements to help you decide whether to bid: 34 inch bust; 30 inch waist; 36-38 inch hip; 14 ½ inch shoulders; 10 inch sleeves; 65 inches in length ... morefrom top of collar in back to hem; no hem allowance. The skirt hangs and moves like it’s cut on the bias. however. It does have side seams. just very skillfully sewn. Also note that neither layer has a zipper. The under slip dress has five snaps and one hook in the left side while the lace layer has six snaps. all securely attached and in working order. None missing. As far as condition. The dress does have some tears in the lace. mostly at the right underarm areas and near the right sleeve seams and shoulder. a much smaller area of tearing in the left underarm. and one small split area in the front of the skirt near the waist. Amazingly. The skirt is almost without problems. only what I’ve described. This is a lovely vintage(WW II era) white lace wedding gown that I acquired at the estate sale of the original bride. Dress is 44" from shoulder to hem; 14" from side to side just under the cap sleeves, 12" from side to side at waist; lovely lace dress, fully lined, custom made, excellent lines for a tailored look, large satin? ribbon down the front and a scooped neckline in back, part of the hem is loose, there are a couple of light spots on the ribbon and needs to be dry-cleaned, included is the headpiece, white velvet with white pearl-like beads wound into the velvet, covered with a tulle veil. Vtg 30s Full Length Ivory Taffeta Fishtail Bias Cut Wedding Gown w Rhinestones S
Absolutely stunning vintage taffeta gown with incredible rhinestone detailing. This dress was used for a photo shoot. Which is the source of the primary photo. It is difficult for me to properly date this dress, but my best guess would be early 1930s, perhaps even the late 1920s. It was definitely hand-stitched, though the rhinestones are prong-set. I did conduct the'burn test' and the fiber from this dress melted- indicating it is a synthetic. That leads me to believe it is NOT as early as the 20s in age. Most likely a nylon-derived taffeta. There are a few issues with this dress, most of which I have photographed above. Primarily, the garment has general staining throughout, but much of it is not evident when worn. This piece was dry cleaned, so I do no think the remaining stains will come out. One never knows with soaking, though, ... moreand if you wanted to risk rhinestone loss, you may be able to remove the last of them. The worst of the two are photographed- both smaller in size than a quarter. Amazingly, all of the prong-set rhinestones are intact on this dress, aside from one which is dangling(prong still intact) from a small hole in the fabric. This could potentially be stitched back into place, which would also repair the hole. There are a few of the rhinestones set within the attached fabric belt that have gone missing. This, too, is something that a jeweler can repair if need be. All-in-all, this dress is very wearable, but has a few issues that are to be expected with a garment of this age. No strange odors, though- this is very clean. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I approximate this dress to be the equivalent of a modern size SMALL. Please see measurements below. Vintage Lace Wedding Gown. Veil, and Slip 1940s These vintage bridal pieces are from the same estate. They are yellowed from storage and have some flaws. The wedding gown is made of allover lace with lace panels. Loop buttons on the front and sleeves with one loop needing to be sewn, and a side zipper. The dress has some holes in the net with some on the front and on the side. The dress is 14" from shoulder to shoulder with a 35" bust and a 29-30" waist. The dress is approximately 67" long and 54" long from the top of the side zipper to the bottom. I did not include the train in the measurements. All measurements are approximate. There are some holes and staining under the arm. I have tried to describe the size and condition of the dress accurately but could have missed some areas of concern. The veil is approximately ... more40" x more than 100" at the tip of the pointed bottom. It has a different lace design from the dress and is in good condition but needs to be washed especially from where it hit the ground when worn. The slip is made of a white material and has one small area of a seam that needs to be restitched. This 1940s gown could be dated earlier but it's hard to tell. It may have been a late 30s or early 40s dress that was embellished at a later date. The fabric feels like an acetate or rayon taffeta. The flowers and leaves are gorgeous! Each one is sewn on individually. They are sculptural- puffy. And have little yellow stamens in the centers. The sash is sewn onto the skirt at it's bottom, but the top is left free. There is a large bow to one side. The bodice is lined with silk. It is torn in a few places but still mostly intact.There is a metal talon zipper on the side. The waist and sleeves have a lovely shirred detail. The hem has been let down and at the moment there is a 1/4" turned up edge that has been double stitched. It is a small size. I could not fit it on my dress form. This is a elegant vintage dress is from the 1930'S. It came with a note pinned to it that indicates it was worn for a portrait in November of 1939. It does not have a size label. But appears to be a size small, see measurements below. Made of a beautiful black satin with rippling lines throughout. I believe this is called, moire. The trim is pale pink on the underside of the ruffled collar& the hemline. The dress has a wide ruffled collar, forming sleeve caps over the shoulders. The front neckline is a long scoop shape while the back is a plunging V shape. The dress is sleeveless with a yoke shaped, dropped V waist. The front hips& all around the back is tight shirring below the waist. Waist has piping detail. The skirt is full with a vent in the center front. The hemline is a"cuff" of pink. Condition is amazing, with some slight perspiration stains in the arm holes on the dress(photo 8) and a place on the side where the waist meets the ruched schirt in which the stitching is uneven(photo 9) It was recently cleaned, including the underskirt. Amazing Vintage 1940s Off-White Satin Wedding Gown Dress XS Beaded Embroidered

The dress has shoulder pads and is unlined. The sailor-style collar has a bow in the center front. Around the neckline and across the diagonal waistline is beading and gold cording. The cuffs snap close. The old steel zipper up the side is stiff but still works. The long train could use pressing. The skirt is very full. There are a few dark spots on the dress. Lovely. Graceful true vintage satin wedding gown in a creamy off white color; it appears to be skillfully custom-made probably in the late 30s-early 40s. It is simple, yet very elegant and in super vintage condition; it has been dry cleaned recently and its only flaw is a pale 4" shadow of a stain on the right lower side which you can only see when you really look for it because it is part of the fold line of the fabric. The sweetheart neckline is simple, the sleeves are fabulous layered puffy blossoms which are echoed in the back petals which make up the exquisite rear view of the gown. No train, but you don't really need it; in our back view you see that our mannequin was a bit too wide to complete the zipper in the midback, so it definitely would work best for a very slim young woman. 1940's Baby Blue Alencon Lace Dressing Gown Robe w Moire Tie Belt and Trim
This is a lovely blue Alencon lace dressing gown or robe from the 1940's. The color is a pretty blue not gray as in some pictures. The robe has long lace ties at the neck. There is a snap at the neck and there are belt loops and a long blue 3 5/8 inch wide moire rayon tie belt with fringe at the ends. The long sleeves have the same wide moire just above the ends. The sleeves also have snaps to make them tight fitting. The blue lace contrasts to the robin egg's blue belt. Measurements are bust 34 inches. And robe hangs open slightly, 58inch length and sleeve length is 25 inches.The robe is in excellent condition with no holes or pulls found.

Vintage 1930s 40s WWII Era Silky Ivory Gown Lingere Negliee by Ro Jene
This is a beautiful vintage 1930s to 1940s full length nightgown lingerie. It has a designer tag that says"Tailored by Ro Jene" The neck and bodice have trim with ivory. Melon, red and green. The trim is scalloped along the edges. The bodice is gathered in between the rows of trim. There are 4 mother of pearl buttons that are at the upper front. The gown is ivory in color. It is in really good condition- the only mark that I can find is a half of an inch yellow pencil mark below the knee area and a tiny prick on one of the sleeves. There is one 1 to 2 millimeter spot near the left shoulder that is a tiny wear hole. Otherwise the gown is in extremely good condition. This gorgeous vintage lingerie is from the 1940s. It is a peach or melon color gown by Josie in a size 40. The gown is either silk or rayon and I am not sure which. I am thinking it is silk, but it is not marked, so to be safe, I will say it could be either one. The bodice has ruching at the bust and is trimmed with a wide row of lace at the neckline and shoulders. The gown has a mermaid bias cut at the hem that flares out below the knees. This nightgown is in great vintage condition and we have found no problems. The measurements are: Bust 42" Waist 36" Hips 46" Length 57"

All of these gowns were purchased by my mother in an estate sale in Hollywood Hills. California in 1982. The granddaughter told her that all the gowns were custom designed and made, so there aren't any labels. All the gowns are of top quality.some have hand stitching. She was told that the lace was handmade. The gowns are cut on the bias so they hang and move beautifully. There are no size labels on these gowns. This gown in specific has a tear in the front bust area as seen in the picture, which is why I am selling it so cheap. It is ruffled there so it's actually not very noticeable.
