For sale today is a lot of three USA made cobalt drill bits. These are M42 grade. The highest cobalt content available. These drills are unused since being resharpened by US Tool Group in Missouri. I purchased these as surplus from the Boeing F-18 production plant in St. Louis. All are USA made with most being made by Precision Twist Drill Co or New York Drill Co. They have a 130 degree point angle and also have a split point. The split point prevents the drill from wandering when started and eliminates the need to center punch the starting point. These drills are sharpened to Boeing specs. They will drill stainless, cast iron, tool steel and hard alloys. This particular drill has an overall length of 2 3/4" and a flute length of 3/4 to one inch. They have a slow spiral flute and are designed for drilling thin, hardened alloy sheet metals ... morebut are fine to use on thicker metals up to the thickness of the flute length. Included in the photos is a picture of one of these#40 drills that I used to drill through this SS washer. The other photo is a SS 3/4" bolt that I drilled with a#11 drill exactly like these#40's. Up for sale is a large lot of extended length drill bits. There are 500 total in this auction. 300 M42 grade and 200 M7 grade. All are split point, 135 degrees. All are of the highest quality, manufactured in the US by NYTD, PTD and others. These were purchased as surplus from Boeing Aircraft is St. Louis. All of these have been refurbished/ reground to Boeing specs by US Tool Grinding in Desloge, Missouri. These drills measure less than the minimum overall or minimum flute length that Boeing requires, in order to be returned to production, after being reground. All are between 5 1/4" and 5 3/4" in overall length. All have an acceptable flute length. All have been inspected and you get 500 good-as-new drill bits. No broken, bent, burnt up or damaged bits.
