Rare 1840s Antique Furniture Salesman Sample Empire Sofa Divan Orig, Stuff Doll
From the estate of a life long collector comes this very rare and wonderful antique. C. 1 830-1840. Salesman sample of an Empire style divan with hand carved detail and inlaid design. Retaining the original stuffing of straw or horsehair. In spectac ular condition for the age of the piece. Structura lly sound and built very well.all of the original old nails are in place without any missing. I do believe that other than the nails used in the wood slats to hold the cushion in place. That the rest of the divan is fitted and pegged. I am unsure if the upholstery is original or was possibly re upholstered later in the 19th c. But, the upholstery is old. Early and in superb condition with the s lightest bit of spotting on some of the red trim. Which is mainly under neath the arms. By pushing down on the cushion. One is abl e to tell that the cont ... moreents are original straw and/or horsehair. Inlaid wood design on all ends and sides. Wood appears to be. And I believe it to be, m a h o gany(but I am no expert in wood) As is normal there is mini mal wear and scuffing to the wood. Also wear around the feet as is shown in photos. Warm. Rich patina. "Ade's Stuff"! Picnic At The Whitehouse & The Pet Shop Boys on Philips Tape
This tape is part of a collection of mainly floppy discs and some tapes and cassettes which will be listed over the next few days. They belonged to my partner Ade Cook who died in 2010. He worked with the Pet shop Boys in the 1980s. Pictured is a section of his CV covering this period. He was a wonderful musician. It is best that these end up with someone who can use/enjoy them rather than them continuing to languish in a box! Many of the floppy discs relate to the Pet shop Boys but there are also many which from the writing on the labels appear to be a"library"of sounds. In what context these were used I dont know but maybe it was in his work with the Pet Shop Boys or with others he was working with around that time. Please refer to the CV. I will make clear what he has written on each. All the 8" discs I think relate to the ... moreFairlight CMI and all the 5 1/4" discs to the Emulator and Emulator II and a few for the Synclavier II. Cute Dog Carrier - Ruff Stuff Faux Leather
Pre-owned dog carrier. In very good shape. The outside is a faux leather material so it's easily washable. It's black with off white accents. The front says dog and the other side has a bone on it. The too part where it zippers is black mesh the entire length of the zipper. Where the zipper ends. There is a small space that my dog liked to stick his head out of. He's 5 lbs so his tiny head popped right out. I think the bag could accommodate up to a small 8lb dog. The inside does have a chain for a tether. Lining is red. Measures L 15" H 10" D 8" and the handle drop is 13" It's a very comfortable bag to carry on your shoulder. I've used others that. With the weight of the dog, get very uncomfortable. I have this lot of vintage fishing stuff up for auction. The contents and condition is as follows: 2- Rotary Bait boxes that you wear on your belt. Both are in good working conditon. One has the BOB BET BAIT BOX label on it but the other box is missing the label. Only one small dent in the label but no other dents on either box. A few scratches from normal use. The box with the label is very nice for it's age. 4- Vintage jig sticks. These have been around a long time and have a great patina to them. 10- Vintage fishing lures or various brands. Over the next couple of weeks I will be listing loads of lace items. All were given to me 40 years ago by a 90 year old woman. Who has worked as a seamstress in London from the age of 10 years old! so the pieces I have are from about 1886 onwards. Nonw of the lace[this piece or any I will be offering] has a musty smell, but it does need washing to remove yellowing from age. I used many of the pieces I had in dressing antique dolls that I had either collected or reproduced myself. Unfortunately my hands and eyes don't enjoy doing such fine work anymore. Just to remind to those of you who have visited a listings with my stuff before- part of it is gone already, and guys gave a good feedback about my DJ stuff, please read it. Part of it still left. This particular listing is for Rane TTM 57SL Mixer only, don't be confused by the picture that includes some other stuff. I keep one CDJ to present a mixer if you buy it locally and you'll come over, so you'll be able to check it out before picking it up. At this point, in addition to the Rane 57 mixer what I have left is a DJ coffin, Shure SM58 Mike with 9.5 ft cord, MS 11 2BK desk rack for the mike and the table to put it all on. For your consideration I am listing a lot of used scuba diving equipment. I do not know anything about scuba diving so I am at a loos as how to describe these items. The names that I see on this equipment are: Dacor. Calypso Aqualung. Sea Quest, Health Ways and US Divers Aqualung. The rubber hoses all seam to be in good condition. The face mask is in poor condition, it needs a new strap. The glass in the face mask is tempered, so this could be taken out and used in another mask. There is one Health Ways valve that has a cracked glass face that should be replace or at least sealed.
