I baby all of my gear and they are in the exact same(if not better) condition than the day I received them. The bass drum did have pedal rash on it when I originally purchased them. This bedroom set has lovely Early California Spanish/Mexican floral hand painting. All pieces are embellished with wonderful original hammered iron drawer pulls and double iron straps throughout. A wonderful Antique Asian Hand Carved Polychromed Mask with it's original Wax Seal for export. This original Antique Ethnic Mask came out of a wonderful Estate and Collection. I believe it's Southeast Asian and perhaps Indonesian( The script on the wax seal is Asian and it was in a box with Oriental Antiques I inherited. I believe it's from the second have of the 1800's. But it could be earlier. It is in very good condition, with some abrasions as you can see in the photos; nothing that takes away from it's appearance or integrity. It's mouth and eye openings have a wonderful reddish brown polychrome and the polychrome on the face has wonderful color and texture. Hand-Carved Antique Lounge Chair with Floral Upholstery, an Inherited Piece
Beautiful and comfortable. This hand-carved antique chair belonged to my husband's grandmother and we inherited it almost 20 years ago. It has been a reading chair in our bedroom. There is some age-related wear on the arms(see picture) legs and upholstery; the front right leg will also need to be reinforced, but the chair is sturdy as you would expect from one a century old. Here is a beautiful antique hand blown pressed glass water set. This water set consists of a 2 quart pitcher and 4 matching tumblers. I do not know the manufacturer of this fine set. But it is of excellent quality. The pitcher is decorated with a cane pillar pattern, and has a heavy applied handle. The top of the pitcher is gilded. The pitcher measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter, which includes the spout and handle. The 8 ounce tumblers are polished on the bottom and have gilding around the rim of each glass. Up for sale is a beautiful Antique 7 Piece Berry Bowl Set Hand Painted. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. The pieces have a Hunter Green color with Purple/Yellow flowers topped with a gold accent. The outside of the bowls have hand painted purple roses. The bowls are unmarked. But in my opinion resemble Nippon hand painted works. The large bowl measures 10" wide x 2.75" deep. The smaller berry bowls measure 5.5" wide x 1.5" deep. The entire group weighs 4 pounds. All pieces have minor gold loss around the upper rim consistent with there age. The age is unknown, however they resemble old porcelain from the early 1900's in my opinion. Two of the smaller berry bowls have a slightly different scalloped edge. The painting is identical on all pieces. The large bowl is not perfectly round. But perhaps slightly ... moreoblong. This is an amazing circa 1825 earthenware/soft paste sauce tureen in remarkable condition for age. The first picture is shown with a pearlescent enamel handle ladle(not included) just for some perspective. It consists of three pieces. The footed bowl, the lid and the stand. 7&3/4" tall, 7&3/8" handle to handle and stand is 6&7/8" in diameter. Intricate hand painted green and gold/brown(with a bit of burgundy) floral over a lavender pink and base white. Raised roses and additional gold decorations on handles. Remarkable condition for age without chips, cracks, hairlines, flakes, stains and no crazing noted. The bowl and the stand are marked with an impressed quarter inch" N" and numbered"2307" by hand in red paint indicative of the pattern number. This hand cannon from what I FOUND out c1650-1700 from China or Mongolia but Im not a expert. The piece has a hand forged. Nine barrel Iron Head of about of about 10" length for 18th Century battle use. Outstanding example features nine barrels of about.36 caliber by 3 1/2" length securely affixed via stacked, horizontal bands around a center piece& welded into place at top& bottom as well as sides with flared, quad-sided muzzle.See Photos) ... moreEach barrel was individually loaded and fused via touch hole at back end of this primitive, asiatic Revolver of course, and could be individually lit off via a quick-match or punk as the pole mounted gun was spun in the hand with pole under the arm. The fuse holes can clearly be seen at the back end where the"octopus" re-enforcement fingers are welded to the base of each barrel to prevent rearward motion. This unusual Revolving Cannon has of course taken on a very dark& grainy, though smooth, patina from almost two Centuries. The Muzzle shows some flaking& deterioration of the quad-sided front edges from salt air& gunpowder resaidue accellerated corrosion. but overall this piece and all barrels are still a virtual mono-block as originally made back in the early 1800s era, and we've no doubt it could be loaded& fired, though it;s proper place is of course on display. As it's been in an attic for years, and I didn't want to take pictures, or ship a piece that wasn't clean. This is a Domra, and was a popular 3 string instrument, made, and played throughout Russia around the turn of the century. I can't put a specific date on this piece, but I'd guess it's an early piece. It's all hand made, with the barrel back, 21 frets, and 3 plastic tuner knobs, ... morethese may have been replaced, unsure. But you may want to replace these down the road with something better. It does play, but I don't know how to play, let alone tune one of these. The three s trings remain. And one bridge, and it appears there may have been two at one time, or this one was moved up, as the pieces I've seen in other pictures only had one, but I see a light area behind the one on this one, and it looks as if there were another. Possibly. It's all of a very light pine. And maybe lacquered? The wood is in excellent condition, no cracks, or issues there. A beautiful piece of art indeed, and pretty clean. It could use a thor ough cleaning around the frets. And tuners. The piece measures just 25" long. There is a beautiful example of one that recently sold on ebay, item# 321077574738 My piece isn't of that quality. Reclaimed Lumber Poplar Wood Beam Mantle Piece Hand Hewn Square Chiseled Holes
Poplar Mantle Antique Reclaimed Barn Lumber(Reduced! Poplar Wood- Hand Hewn Beam 53-1/4" Long x 2-5/8" Thick x 4-7/8" Wide Has Square Peg Holes On One Side Will Turn Rich Gold Color When Oiled. Waxed or Varnished Would Make Nice Mantle Piece This is a very unique piece that you do not find very often with the rectangular peg holes. This piece also shows some hand-hewning marks. I can tell that this piece was made all by hand is very straight. The photos show all sides and ends. On this end. Right above, you can see some saw marks. These can easily be filled with wood putty and sanded over. Before giving a finish, I would give it a light sanding, and you can antique the ends by using a metal grinder or file. Also, you can smack the entire with a hammer to give it a worn look on the ends if you so desire. The wet marks are only ... morefrom the snow when the pictures were being taken. Remember. And looks to be hand carved and expertly hand painted ANRI of Italy manufactured these stoppers from 1912 to 1976 in hundreds of styles, Bavarian gentleman. No two are exactly alike as each is carved by hand, and the finely painted details indicate this is an early example, since the later production became cruder and the colors more garish. Hair pot with cover and bowl with cover(for rings and miscellaneous items) All of these pieces are hand-painted by Mrs. E. Cassel on white ware from Austria. R&S Germany and Favorits Bavaria. There are two small chips at the bottom of the talc shaker, otherwise no other chips. Cracks or crazing and paint all intact and nicely done. Vintage Floral Hand Painted Milk Glass Lamp 3 way feature NICE PIECE!!
This was a nice find at a Estate of a 80+ year old woman. The Vintage Milk Glass lamp has a Beautiful Hand Painted Floral design. The lamp has age wear on the metal base and around the shade holder but is common in older pieces and I feel it give it character. There was no lamp shade but it was to pretty to pass up and not offer to potential buyers. You can easily obtail a shade at a thrift store or second hand store as I have seen them often. The lamp is made for a shade to simply slide over the bulb and rest on the shade holder. The age is truly seen in the older style cord and plug but they are in good condition no cuts. Splices and just needs a wipe down. The nice feture of the lamp is it has a 3 way setting: bottom light only. Top light only or together. Simply said a Beautiful Soft Piece especially when on.
