The cord is a bit frayed where it meets the actual motor(look at the picture) but it does work in it's current state. You may want to replace the cord, but I'll leave that up to you. Motor was working when I took the machine apart. Horsepower not listed on the motor. But I would guess it to be 2 hp. The gear motor label says it is 1/20 hp.
