This is a Heidenhain ROD 800.0000 36000 Incremental Rotary Encoder removed from working equipment a decade ago. It was checked by connecting to a Heidenhain linear encoder readout unit about 6 years ago and it appeared to work correctly at that time. The test verified the presence of correct signals on the incremental outputs( 1 volt p-p sine wave) and absolute position output. These encoders are advertised to be accurate to within +/ 1 arc-sec. and were introduced to the market in 1975. Since I have no way of verifying accuracy. This encoder is being SOLD AS-IS.
