They do appear to be possibly UNIWELD, just by what the manifold looks like. Not even the gauges have information. I have had these for years and just ran across them. This is the way I received them from a friend. I did test them and have used them, but years ago. The hoses should be replaced, for safety reasons. Promax RG5000 recovery HVAC refrigeration air conditioning
I am selling my Promax RG5000 recovery unit for HVAC refrigeration/air contitioning. It was my personal unit until I got a deal on a Bachrach Stinger. It worked the last time I used it. And it is in decent shape. There are two known issues: 1) The high side gauge will not go below 50psi as shown in the picture. But it does work for anything above 50psi. This was never a huge deal for me since I never had that much pressure in the tank at one point anyways. 2) The last time I used the unit. About 5 months ago, I noticed that I lost some refrigerant, and after closer examination, I found that the refrigerant was leaking from the Brass Purge Plug on the front of the unit. So the unit will need a new o-ring washer for the purge plug. I don't know if there was another spot it got lost at. So for that reason, the unit will be sold as is with ... moreno returns. And it comes complete with very high quality R134a hoses with the quick disconnect ends preattached(as shown in the picture) The robinair has a standard set of hoses. Both have not been used by me personally and they have been sitting for a while. Due to this, I am not offering any type of guarantee with them. I am also included three extra gauges. Which are all used and once again, I have no clue as to whether or not they are functional. What you see is what you get. This unit was in full working order when they purchased it. Before removal the refrigerant was removed as the company was going to recycle the unit since they had no need for it. I would think that this unit would work fine if new refrigerant was installed and a plug installed on the power cord but I am not cretin.
