Shorter Iron Bed Rail For An Antique Iron Bed Restored
For sale today is a iron bed rail that is only 47 1/4 inches long. Perhaps for a child's bed? This is the only bed rail of this length I have ever seen. All paint. Rust and dirt was removed from the rail. The rail was polished and given multiple coats of clear lacquer. It is ready for the color of your choice. The ends are tapered. As best I could measure them the top of the rail is 1 3/4" in diameter and the bottom is 5/8's of a inch. No cracks or breaks in the metal. The s/h/i in the auction is always wrong. Jenny Lind Antique Spindle Bed 51 1/2" X 76" Head & Foot Board w/metal side rail
This antique bed is in excellent condition. It does have metal side rails versus the wood ones. It also does come with the wood slats for the going across the rails for the support of mattress and box spring. There are no broken spindles nor any noticeable scratches. It really is a beautful bed. I have had it about 10 years. And my mother had it for 15 years. It is solid construction with head and foot board being heavy. Both pieces measure 42 in high from floor to top of headboard/footboard. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am getting rid of due to replacing it with a king size bed. Local pick up only.

Antique French walnut ciel de lit, bed canopy frame. Ideal chic towel rail c1880
This is an antique French walnut bed canopy. Measuring approx 18" wide x 7" tall x 6" deep it is in very good. Strong original condition. Made from walnut it has gorgeous wood grain detail and the sort of patina that only comes from age and honest use. It has a natural wood knot fault on the backing bracket but no visible worm holes. It has a recessed screw thread hole for fitting to the ceiling for hanging drapes from but these are more often used as chic unique towel rails. Antique queen size four poster bed with top rail
Beautiful antique queen sized bed made of solid mahogany. The bed was assembled from two antique single four poster beds from the early 19th century by a master carpenter. In addition to the four posts the bed has a carbed rail that goes all the way around the top of the bed. The bed can be disassembled into eight pieces for transport. I couldn't get a photo of the entire bed because the bed is in a smallish room and I don't have a wide angle lens on my camera. The bed was valued at $1000- $1500 twenty years ago by an expert appraiser. So this is a true bargain. The bed is in excellent condition. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the top rail but it is not noticeable because it occurred before the bed was assembled and refinished. Local pickup only or delivery in the D.C. area for the cost of a rental truck.
