Rare Vintage American Gas Machine Co, ~ Ready Glo Heater ~ Colman Fuel Heater
Up for auction is this Rare Vintage American Gas Machine Co. Ready Glo Colman Fuel Heater, not complete. Good for restoration. These heaters originally came with a ceramic element and there was a metal replacement that was less breakable. This one looks really cool with the crackle in the original paint. The valve turns smoothly and the pressure pump moves in and out smoothly but doesn't seem to create any pressure. It could use some cleaning, there are lots of scratches in the paint as you can see in the pictures I'm pretty sure it wouldn't take much to get this one working, and it will make a great display piece. It measures about 20" high and the tank base is about 8-3/8" across, the reflector is about 14-3/4" across. This item is being sold as found, no returns. Thanks for looking.

I purchased this heater for my garage. It is still installed and hanging from the ceiling. I Had it all hooked up just to find out that it cant be converted to propane so I am unable to use this unit. Im not to happy! They should have told me that before I paid them to run the gas line. Anyway this great working unit is for sale at a great price. It is 250.000 BTU's Very large unit will heat just about anything in minuts. It is NATURAL GAS ONLY! A propane conversion is not available for this unit. I have looked! It is still hooked up to electric and the gas line under pressure so you can come check it out. It has NOT been hooked to the tank. Obviously cause its a propane tank. but we can still flip the switch and see everything is working properly. I don't know much about HVAC so if you have any questions just send me a email I will ... moredo my best to help you out. This is for just the unit. Mounting hardware. Venting ex. not included.
