Vintage Machinist Planer& Shaper Gage Tool as Shown. 3 DAY AUCTION! I do not know the maker of this Gage. Only manufactures mark I see id on one side: T H 1938. This is in used and in Good Condition. This was stored away in an old machinist toolbox of a man that retired. There is some discoloration from storage. Was some rust starting that was stoned off on all sides etc. Has precision ground working surfaces. The ways were ground to a bevel to assure accurate alignment. Gage can be used on the base or end or flat on the sides. Base is 3/4" wide by 5 1/4" long. This was tested and will work as it should nice and smooth movement on accurate surfaces. Guaranteed! NOTE: This is really just an adjustable gauge block. You set it with a mic. And then use it to establish the height of a cutter over a surface. This also works great ... morewith a sine bar or sine plate. Just set the gauge to the sine of the angle desired and set up the sine bar on it. You can also think of this gauge much like an adjustable parallel. Attach a carbide scriber and you have an unbeatable height gage for comparison measuring with test indicators, or as a surface gage for scribing. Use your imagination.
