SIMPSON VOLT OHM METER, MODEL 260, SERIES 6, w/ CASE, MANUAL, PROBES
Here we have a Simpson Volt Ohm Meter(VOM) complete with case. Operating booklet, and probes. The carry strap seems to be missing, but looks like two screws are present. No way to test, but the meter movement seems to float freely and I see no visible abnormal damage externally. This is a Model 260, series 6. There is minor soiling from expected usage, but looks good overall. The case seems to be leather and is branded"Simpson" on the front. I'll look for the carry handle, but it doesn't appear to be available unless it is under the probes somewhere. Assume it missing. The booklet shows age, but then so do I. Ask questions. No returns. Shipping is for a Large Flat Rate box. If the case makes it take a larger package. You will be charged the fee for the larger box( I charge actual postage, no profit here)

This is a Meg-Chek meter made by Associated Research but I am not sure the model while it appears to look like a 2100a it is not identical. The meter appears to check ohms and there is a manual in it on how to check insulation. The meter shows DC and AC readings But appears to be missing the guard jack on the right side like the 2100a meters. The unit has not been tested as I do not have enough D-Cell batteries to test the unit. I am selling the unit as-is for parts or repair although the unit might be just fine. Triplett 630-NA Type 3 Volt- Ohm Meter Working.... Sorta... Please Read
This is a used and semi-functional Triplett Meter I've had since the early 70's. It's been on a shelf since the the mid 80's when I bought a very nice Fluke digital meter. I think there are times when an analog meter is better for some circuit testing. But I ddo't do much of that any longer. These Tripletts were the meter of choice. So. if you've been looking at Tripletts here on eBay. Let me give you a bit of info. These Triplett meters use two batteries to power the meter for testing. One is a 1.5v D size battery and the other is a 30v battery about the size of a common 9v battery. I put a fresh D size in it the other day to take these pictures and to show the meter works. The trick is. it may be rather difficult to locate a 30v battery to fill the other battery slot, since that battery design has a terminal on each ... moreend of the battery- not like a 9v where the terminals are next to each other. There was a 30v battery listed here on eBay last week. I don't know if it is still available or the availability of 30v batteries in general. One of the four screws holding the cover on went missing off my bench the other day. I think it jumped. it's like my hair, it doesn't just fall out these days, it jumps. The other item to consider is the pair of probes for the meter. I have included a red and a black banana plug and a pair of small alligator clips to be able to make up a pair of simple probes. Don't try testing any voltage by holding the bare clips. You must have insulated probes and they are available from a number of sources including probemaster.com. Up for auction is a lightly used Fluke 88 Automotive Meter in great condition. Picture 1 was continuity test. Picture 2 was AC voltage test. Picture 3 was 12 Volt battery test. Pictures 4-5 I used a Fluke 83 to compare numbers for accuracy on a bad 6 volt battery measuring 3.9 volts. Picture 6 is AC voltage test at same time with Fluke 83 to test accuracy.
