VINTAGE SIMPSON 260 ANALOG VOLT / OHM METER / MILLIAMMETER / MULTIMETER
Clean Simpson 260 analog volt/ ohm meter in working condition with leads. The first picture show that the ohm meter works. The second picture shows that the DC volt meter works and the third picture shows that the AC volt meter works and the final picture show that the inside is reasonably clean. The leads do not have any broken wires or cracked insulation and I believe they are original. Note that there is a lightly ingraved number in the plastic case just below the meter on the right side as you can see in the first picture. I've had this meter for at least the last 40 years and there has not been bateries installed for at least the last 20 years.

The knob in the center sets the gage's scale range, from 0.1V to 1 kV, 1 μA to 1 A, and x10 Ω to x1 MΩ. Buttons along the bottom set the mode of the unit. Instructions are on the back. The unit takes two 9V batteries and one C-cell battery(not included) There are some orange markings on the unit but they are a cosmetic defect only. How the unit was tested: When batteries were inserted the battery test function indicated they were charged. No cables were available for testing its other functions. This is a vintage General Electric clamp-on a m meter and voltmeter with a rotating scale in working used condition. It comes with its original leather case in somewhat rough shape but serviceable. The leads have been soldered to the base of the meter- don't know if this was original or a modification. But have just tested them and they do function. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment. Found in my father-in-laws garage. Comes with alligator clip leads. Tested and working on 120VAC. 12VDC, Ohm scale and 500mA ranges. Didn't test 5000V, 10A or 50uA inputs. Yes. Case is a bit beat up(see last two pics) but it works and priced right. For your consideration I have an Antique Supreme Instruments Corp. D.C. Volt Ohmmeter model 111. This device features a wooden box with a metal face. The box reads model 111 however the meter says it is model 616. This meter appears to be very rare as I cannot find another like it. I can only find advertisements for it.
