Threaded section measures.480 with a micrometer(1/2" Interior hole measures.218(7/32" The interior hole is 3/8" deep. There is also a hole on the side of the cap which only half intersects with the interior hole and I don't know the purpose. I thought it might be for a set screw at first but I don't see of feel any threads(poking with a needle) Googled"Difuso" and it came up Spanish. The thread on the cap screws easily into a standard 1/2" nut. The ring also screws onto the thread. It appears to be made of brass and bakelite.
