JMI VOX AC-4 Offered for sale is this lovely vintage Vox AC-4 valve(tube) amp made by Jennings Musical Industries in Great Britain in the mid sixties(1964 or 5) It is in superb cosmetic condition and very good working order for an original untouched amp that's approaching its 50th birthday(please see the 36 photos below for details) This is quite a find: internally it looks to be completely original- all the valves are the original yellow label Mullards- it sounds lovely. Though there is some noise as you'd expect as it's not been recapped. I was going to get this serviced, but there seem to be many different opinions as to the'correct' way to restore a vintage amp so I figured leave it original and let the buyer decide. There's a couple of rips in the speaker cloth and evidence of some sort of repair to the front ... moretop left corner of the case(detailed photos below) But otherwise it's a very clean-looking amp in good original condition. When taking the photos, I noticed what could be a very small tear in the speaker cone on one edge(near the white marking) I'm unsure if it is an actual tear or a mark. But it doesn't seem to affect the amp's performance. In my opinion the speakers in these amps aren't the best- m any players find that replacing the original speaker with a better-specification modern unit can really transform the performance of these lovely amps. Though this has been left in original condition for the buyer to make their own decision. Overall this amp sounds great and is a joy to use- aside from some noise that would be fixed by a recap- it's got great tone and a has lovely-sounding tremolo. Please be aware that it is a vintage amp and may not take kindly to being shipped. It will be well-packed. But if it's not behaving as it should on receipt, please get in touch. This is a Mesa Boogie F-30 1x12 combo tube amp. It has two channels–clean and dirty– both with independent gain. Treble, mid, bass, reverb, and master controls. The foot switch changes channels, adds a“contour” mode– a little extra grit– on the gain channel, and turns reverb on and off. It has two 4-ohm outs and one 8-ohm out,along with a headphone/line out jack, a speaker mute switch and a parallel FX loop with wet/dry mix. Folks. Up for consideration is a working guitar amp from Gorilla. This one is the Gorilla GB-30 Guitar Amp. This Gorilla GB-30 Bass Amp is in very good shape. I cleaned the pots using DEOXIT D5 and the controls work smoothly without any scratchiness. Cosmetically. The Gorilla Amplifier looks very nice and the speaker is in excellent condition. The only obvious thing is the Mid control knob. It's loose and straightens up as you turn it. The amp sounds excellent. And reproduces my acoustic really well. Not really for electrics unless you have some kind of signal processor, otherwise it's great. Peavey Classic 30 Guitar Amp speaker cabinet 2X12 excellent condition
Up for auction is a very gently used Peavey classic 30 amp cabinet. This cool piece is in great shape. It's been preserved by someone who takes really good care of their gear. It is all original and still working great. It goes perfect with the classic 30 Peavey amp but it will work with any amp head. It comes with the original paperwork. 16 ohm cabinet with two 12 inch speakers. The only thing you'll notice is the tweed on the back mid panel is peeling on the edge. It's just a matter of gluing it back down a little. Peavey made the tweed to go just to the edge instead of wrapping around. It's a common problem with these cabinets. Great piece. Needs a good home. You are bidding on a used Peavey Classic 30(chassis only) tube guitar amp in good playing condition. I am not including the tubes or reverb tank and one knob is missing as well. That being said. I am amazed how good this amp sounds. Peavey really created a great sounding useful amp when they designed this one. I have heard these in country bands as well as blues and harmonica. You can dial in a wide range of useful tones. It has a channel switch and a mid boost switch. a single volume knob for normal and pre and post controls for the high gain(crunch) channel. There is some rust on the control panel but the general appearance is nice. It will be shipped without tubes. I can include the used tubes for an extra $45.00. But I just don't use it enough to justify having it. Has all JJ tubes(4 x 12AX7's. 4 x EL84, 1 x GZ34 rectifier) from Eurotubes in a set they specifically put together for an Underground 30. The tubes are about a year old, but have plenty of life left thanks to them being a little on the cold side to counteract the fact that Tony sets up the UG30's to be biased really hot. I am the 2nd owner but was told the amp dates between 2002-2004. It's in excellent shape. I inherited it with a few scuffs here and there and one small tear in the grill cloth but nothing major. Overall looks great and is functionally perfect. Was just in for a check up with the local amp guru who replaced one tube and gave her a clean bill of health. Brown tolex is less common and looks'60's cool. This is the non-reverb model. The amp also has an effects loop. Which is not standard. It has Send and Mix controls as well as a switch to completely remove the loop from the circuit so it doesn't suck any tone if you're not using pedals. Also comes with a custom fit black Tuki cover.
