The glassware was produced to store foods such as sugar. Salt, olives, olive oil and other ingredients. The glassware shown does not appear to have been used. The taller pitcher is 8 1/2 inches tall with cork in place. The smallest jar is 3 3/4 inches with cork in and widest diameter is 3 inches. Jar with wooden spoon is 4 3/4 inches tall with cork in place. Last jar has paper label inside stating"olives. cherries.Matnini onions.It also has a wooden spoon with a hole in the middle. The set is made with ornate solid brass fittings and hardware which are attached to a wonderful handmade. And beautifully routed wooden box. the set i ncludes test tubes and rack. Flask and holder, specimen slides and holder,dual adjustable mirrors and candle holder, tweezers and beakers. the beaker and specimen slide are held by stunning brass stands and holders. behind these is a very detailed test tube stand. Which is also made from brass and holds three different sized tubes with 2 arms. in the back is a large removable arm which holds two brass backed adjustable mirrors at the top. One in which has a brass handle at back. these are connected to the long arm and has an adjustment knob to adjust the height as well. underneath is a wonderful ... moresolid brass detailed candle holder which also has a height adjustment. the arms is held by a very ornate mount that is connected to the wooden box. It has a wonderful Beatson and Clark London brass logo on side. Beatson and Clark is a glass works company started in 1751 and still exists today making high quality bottles for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. Up for auction is a vintage Gilbert Chemistry Experiment Lab science toy No 12016. Circa 1950s- 60s. It comes with an illustrated booklet with experiments to try. Litmus paper, chemicals, spoons, and test tubes. It is housed in a metal cabinet. The set is in good vintage condition with some corner creasing to the book, one of the tools is missing, the calcium chloride has wear, phenolphthalein is empty and the litmus paper boxes have one piece each. Gilbert Chemistry Outfit for Boys-1936 Mostly complete set in the original box by A.C Gilbert Company out of New Haven. Connecticut. Original workbook is included as well as all of the powders. The metal spoon is intact. Both glass stir sticks, matchbook, test papers and all 7 0f 7 glass tubes. Most are filled with different chemical compounds. There is one slot that appears to be empty, I do not know what was originally intended to be there. The original box is in overall good condition with just a couple tears and scuffs. NO RESERVE AUCTION. From 1958. This is the Gilbert Chemistry Experiment Lab with many chemicals still intact. It includes the 248 pp booklet with dozens of experiments for the budding scientist. Notice the case has quite a bit of rust and inside, it isn't clean and pristine. The metal instruments are rusty also and I don't know what glass pieces were there originally but probably some are missing. Included are 26 labeled Gilbert bottles of various chemicals. Some very difficult to find or buy now. Please look at the photos to see the contents. The only one that is used up is Sodium Iodide Solution. Many of the others have settled or caked over the years but would still be useful. The small boxes contain wire. Strips, test papers, litmus papers, etc. Some boxes are empty. Gilbert Chemistry Set for Boys 1936
You are bidding on a used but very cool Gilbert Chemistry set from 1936. made in the U.S.A. when it was great being a kid and using your imagination. The set is not perfect because it was used by some lucky kid. Two test tubes are broke. I won't even open the wooden chemical bottles, but that's what makes it such a find. two box corners a little beat up but the instruction book is good as new. Can you imagine being the kid who got this for what ever occasion and opening his mind, in 1936, to the world.

Vintage LIONEL CL33 Chemistry Set - Wood Case, Chemical Bottles, Test Tubes, etc
This lot contains a whole bunch of interrelated stuff. So listen carefully and I'll tell you what I know. First. In the first two pictures is the original wooden two-door case for a Lionel"Chem-Lab" chemistry set. It needs a good cleaning, as you can see, and it looks like a piece of the locking mechanism might be missing, and the two doors don't quite line up. The paper labels are both chipped and damaged, I believe the one on the left originally said"Lionel Chem-Lab" and the one on the right was the model number- CL 33. When closed, it measures about 12" x 13" x 2¼" deep. When you open it up. You see that the doors are fitted with shelves and racks and the main body of the case also has two shelves. The items shown in the third and fourth pictures were all found with the case, but I'm ... morenot sure whether they're all original Lionel pieces. We have one rubber tube and six glass test tubes, four with corks, two without. There is also a 2" x 2" dark blue or ultra-violet glass lens, an almost empty Lionel"red litmus paper" box, two plastic Lionel chemicals bottles and some small sheets of what might be litmus paper. Also found with it are the 12 small chemical jars in the fourth picture. None of which appear to be made by Lionel. There are three short square bottles(1¼" x 1¼" x 2" tall) all with Chemcraft labels, made by the Porter Chemical Company, of Hagerstown, Maryland. Then there are seven short circular bottles(1¼" diameter, 2¼" tall) with black caps and generic handwritten labels. And finally, two taller rectangular bottles(1¼" x 1" x 2¾" both with red caps and generic handwritten labels. They are all made of clear glass, apart from the two tall ones- these are amber glass and both marked with a raised shield and anchor symbol on the bottom and the numbers and letters"82-07, 6-24, 21-SB. The bottle contents range from full or nearly full down to a trace or less.
