There is a notch in the edge of the syrup that the sterling top and hinge slides over. The syrup is 4 ¾ inches tall and the base is 2 7/8 inches wide. The sterling lid and hinge weight is 34 + grams. Antique Glass Syrup Pitcher, Tin top Pat. July 15, 1884. cast in top
Listed is an antique glass syrup pitcher. It is in very nice condition. There are no chips or cracks in the glass part. The handle is perfect as is the rest of the glass body. The top looks to be made of tin and it is spring loaded to keep it closed. The hinge still works fine. However, the spring that holds the top closed has come loose from the top and I don't want to try and reattach it, as I don't want to damage the top. The top has one small dent in it which I'm sure you can see in the pics. It is pretty minor. The inside of the top has a Patent date cast in it as you can see in a few of the pics. It reads: PAT. JUL 15. 84. The pitcher is 8" tall. 4 1/2" from front to back of handle and almost 3 1/2" wide at the base. This pitcher is in wonderful condition for it's age. Please feel free to ask questions.

Antique Vintage Silver Meriden Syrup Pitcher Jug w/Hinged Lid #1931 and Birds
This is a wonderful Ornate Hinged lid Syrup Pitcher. It has rows of diamonds and flowers around the body and two birds on the spout. It is marked Meriden B. Company 1931 on the bottom with a picture of scales. It does look to have scratches in the untarnished insides. I could also feel a surface scratch on the side. There is what isn't quite round on the front of the lid that looks to have been made that way. Sorry i do not know the age of piece and the type of metal but did not see plate ware so might be silver. Green sole manufacturer Woodbury, New Jersey. This almanac was presented by Thomas O. Drinkall druggist in Platteville, Wisconsin. It measures 6 3/4" x 9" and contains 32 pages. Almanac has surface, corner and edge wear: lower outside corner all pages have tiny mouse chew area. there are numerous tiny tears on each side, spine is separated from bottom up 3" and there is general aging and discoloration. Straight from the farmhouse dinner table. Thick clear glass. With a hidden spout, by what looks like, a pewter hinged lid. It is possible to duplicate the design, but not the age. This is a true"old" piece. Measuring it with the lid in place, at 7 1/2 inches high. Across the bottom center, it is 3 3/4. There are some excellent markings of age to this piece. No cracks or chips. On the handle there are two lines, possibly from the stone of a ring. These are not cracks. And yes, there should be signs of use from the lid. It is an old piece. There is a'dimple' on the bottom, and rough cuts around the inside of the rim. I am certainly ... morenot an authority on any item I list to sell. I do not sell as a flea market. Antique Tin Toleware Creamer Syrup Mid 19th Century Primitive
Up for sale is a vintage antique tin toleware creamer or syrup recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. It is found in good used condition but has lost most of its original finish and paint. This early creamer has a wonderful classic form and is ca 1840-50's. The original finger hold to open the lid. It measures approximately 5 3/8" tall, with a base diameter of approximately 3 7/8" and an opening diameter of approximately 2 1/8" in size. The interior bottom is a bit rusty and will need a good cleaning. A wonderful primitive country collectible creamer offered in its original finish. For auction is a 7" Vintage VILLEROY& BOCH DRESDEN syrup pitcher. The pitcher is gray and white stripped and has what look like blue flowers going vertically. The pitcher has a spring loaded metal lid and on the bottome is the VILLEROY& BOCH logo and the# 2647. The condition is very good. I must add a correction. The lid is not spring loaded. It is weighted so that when the pitcher is tipped, the lid comes open.

Great Northern Railway Silver Soldered. Lidded, Creamer or Syrup Pitcher made by International Silver. Side marked with a GN monogram raised medallion flanked with bell flowers. Marked on the underside, Great Northern RY, International Silver Co. Silver Soldered, GNS 53, 4 OZ. 30 within a square and a heart. The thirty within a square is for the year 1930, beginning in 1912, International Silver date marked the silver items that were made for various rail roads. Condition, typical dings and signs of use, one dent on the lower handle, and a couple of shallow dents on the lower body above the foot. The under edge of the lid has a rough feel. Exterior silver plate is intact, lower interior silver plate is worn. The interior plate wear and the covered spout lead me to believe this is a syrup pitcher. The hinge is good.
