This item was purchased at a recent estate sale. It is a leather binder that measures 7 1/2" x 11 1/2" and is 1" thick. When opened. Each side has 25 thick cardboard cards that measure 6" x 4" with a sturdy plastic bottom edge. each card has several slots to insert cards, photos, receipts, etc. The previous owner used it to keep recipe cards organized. On the top of each side is a leather flap with"VICTOR +++ Made in USA" and next to it there is a small picture of a file cabinet with the words"Sperry Rand" kind of hard to read in photos. Condition is excellent. The leather is nice and clean without stains. Scratches, or other defects. Inside is just as nice.

Mid 1800s American Dagger with Original Leather Sheath. Knife Made From File. NR
Judging from the style. Materials used, skilled craftsmanship and the patina, this knife was made in America in the mid 19th century. It's made from a file that was probably annealed in a forge to a softer state and then filed and ground to shape. Notches were produced to accept a solid steel bolster, leather washers were then pushed down the tang, a buttcap placed at the end and the tang riveted down to tightly secure the leather washer handle. The heavy-almost 3/16 inches thick- leather sheath was simply fashioned to fit the knife and riveted together with heavy copper rivets with washers. There is no evidence of any type of glue. Overall length- 11-5/8 inches. Blade length- 7-1/2 inches. Handle- Leather washers. Bolster- Steel. Pommel- Steel. Sheath- Leather. Offered for your consideration is a vintage DuPont Industrial Chemicals advertising keychain. USA-made in the mid 1970’s by BASSETT. It’s constructed of top grain cowhide and has four key hooks plus knife. Nail file, and can opener. It also features snap closure and holes for a ball/clasp ring. Please see the photos that I've taken from various angles to decide if this neat DuPont collectible is correct for your needs. This DuPont keychain measures 3⅛” x 2¼” and is in near excellent condition. The embossed logo in gold-tone paint looks particularly nice.
