Furthermore, Berry actually played a model of tenor sax generally known as the Conn"Transitional" and is not known to have ever played a New Wonder Series II. Vintage Metal File Box: Hamilton-Skotch With Key, 1960s: Patina, Rust and Charm
This is a vintage Hamilton-Skotch Corp. gray metal file box that dates to the 1960s. I do happen to know that it has been in existence for that long as it came from the estate of an elderly neighbor who had his important papers filed away in it until his death a couple of years ago. It measures 10" high X 12-1/2" wide and is 9" deep so will hold a very large number of letter size file folders. Or it would be great in a studio for artist's supplies. It does have the rusty. Scratched look which I find appealing as it gives it the industrial look. The key is included. The one drawback, other than cosmetic, is the latch which does not work properly. It opens and closes but once it is closed it takes a bit of doing to open it again. I have, however, opened it a number of times by jiggling the key around. Vintage Oak File Box 1950's Dovetailed Very Clean inside
This is a large. Sturdy vintage oak file box. 1940's/1950's. 10" long, 8.5" wide 6.5" high or deep. It is very clean inside(see photo) It is beautifully dovetailed. There is a light place on front of lid where probably a contents label was attached. No nail holes. There are a few marks here and there consistent with a utilitarian item 70 plus years old. The felt on the bottom shows wear(see photo) and could be replaced if desired. I did not want to make improvements which would detract from age. Add character to your office, give as a gift or mark it up and sell in your shop.
