Carver receiver Magnetic field amplifier MXR-150? FREE SHIPPING
I purchased this new back in the mid 1980's and has been sitting in the closet for years. I can't find a part number on the unit(front or rear) or in the instruction manual but the manual says it pumps out 150 watts so I guess it is a MXR-150 or equivalent. The unit is made in Japan and the S/N is A71207586. I recently purchased a house and decided to use this receiver in my master bedroom. It worked fine for a few weeks then the left channel would cut out intermittently. If I tapped on the unit. Jiggled the A-B speaker selector or balance knob the left channel would come ba ck on. A friend of mine said the switches might be dirty so I had him spray some Deoxit connector cleaner into the pots and switches and now the problem is much worse. Playing with the knobs seem to make very little difference. Now you have to bang on the top ... moreof the receiver for the channel to come back on. This unit comes with the instruction manual. Presented here for auction is a 1950/60's early plastic Milwards'The Flymaster' storage box. With magnetic strips to help keep the flies in order. Made in England by Milwards it contains about 40 flies of varying shapes and sizes. These are on pins not hooks. No idea if these are the original flies. See pic 2. The box. As you can see, is Lime green and is sturdy, made of an early plastic material that is heavy and brittle. Inside there are 2 rows of galvanised steel set upon magnets to which the flies are attached. There is some damage to the box at the back where it attaches to the brass hinge. But it still opens and shuts fine. You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a Japanese Imperial Army Type 2 Model 2"Gou" Magnetic Compass. As used in various early and mid-war Japanese Fighters and Bombers such as the Nakajima Ki-43"Oscar" Kawasaki Ki-100"Tony" Mitsubishi Ki-21"Sally" Kawasaki Ki-48"Lily" Mitsubishi Ki-67"Peggy" and others! This instrument indicated the current direction of the aircraft and pointed to magnetic north. It was normally located at the navigator position. However it was often mounted into fighters directly in front of the control stick for a direct vertical reading. Was used in most bombers and fighters. Made of brass and aluminum by the Tokyo Aviation Indicator Company. This instrument is in EXCELLENT used condition! It was taken from a downed Japanese aircraft during the war. And it ... morestill retains 95% of it's original finish! The fluid was emptied at one point of time, so it needs to be re-filled. No breaks or damage! It is missing the main base, however it is 100% functional and still points Magnetic North. Data plate is also fully intact. There is some paint fading and chipping due to the age, but nothing that take away from the overall appearance. I have indicated it's location in a fighter and bomber cockpit in the last photos. Wurlitzer Pre-War Jukebox Bear Paw Tonearm w/Magnetic Pickup
For your consideration. The deco bear paw tone arm from a Wurlitzer 412 jukebox. This same type of tonearm was used in several different models from the 1930's, such as the 616, etc. It's on the grungy side but there is no rust and I'm sure it would clean up nicely. It was slightly bent at the back end when I got it, but it straightened up fine. The original cord is in great condition, as is the Bakelite plug. The original lead weight is present, as is the horseshoe magnetic pickup. There is no needle or needle screw, but I'll update the listing if I find one that fits.
