This is not some drill press that's been thrown around and abused in an manufacturing facility. As with any used tool this has minor nicks and scrapes from normal use but nothing to affect operation. Do not let the size of this unit fool you it is powerful with rated 9.0 amps and 1.1 hp. The toolless handle can be mounted on either side of the press. Unit has simple two button operation one for the 2300 Lbs. of deadlift magnet and one for the drill itself and all running on normal house current. What is nice about this is bring the press to your work piece not your work piece to the drill press. The mag drill had a 2 speed forward/reverse electric power feed or the spindle operation can be manually operated with the large 3 spoke speed handle. The Milwaukee drill has also a 2 speed gearbox and forward/reverse operation. This is a very heavy duty mag drill. The entire unit is top of the line. Over $2,500 new. This is a Bux magnetic drill press with a large Milwaukee drill. The electromagnet works as does the drill. But the mechanism for raising and lowering the drill is jammed. It could just be dirt or there could be a missing tooth. I have not taken it apart to check. The drill does not have a chuck but has some other holding device, maybe for a Morse taper? Nice used Hougen Magnetic Drill Model 10901 This is a nice used heavy duty Hougen Magnetic Drill Model 10901. The magnet and drill work fine. It locks down very tight when you flip the magnet switch. The drill cuts just fine. The rubber over the start switch is cracked but the switch still works fine. The ground prong on the plug is also missing.not a big deal to me but just pointing it out. There are scratches and such on the drill as you can see from previous use. This comes with an 11/16 bit that is still very sharp and cuts great. I just ran out of degreaser. The"Drill Off" button in between the"REV" and"FWD" is missing. You can still press it in to stop drill. The speed knob is slightly broken. On the raising and lowering mechanism one of the"handles" or balls is missing. Has obvious scratches and scuffs with grease stains all throughout. Everything works and functions as should.
