This is a new old stock avalanche photo diode. It is optimized for laser pulse detection in the 500 to 900nm range. But will work from near UV to 1150nm. It will work very well for Nd:Yag at 1064nm too though. If you need a fast and extremely sensitive light detector than here you go. This is a used avalanche photo diode type Y153. It is optimized for laser pulse detection in the 500 to 900nm range. But will work from near UV to 1150nm. It will work very well for Nd:Yag at 1064nm too though. You also get PBX-65 Si PIN photodiode which is sensitive down to 1100nm; this works well for high speed pulse uses. If you need a fast and extremely sensitive light detector than here you go. From what I found on the net the PBX diode operates at up to 35V, and the APD is up to 95V at really low power.
