Antique wood and glass store counter display case for something. I'm not sure what it held? It is exactly how I bought it many years ago. It has been in storage a long time. Wood has nicks and scratches and one lower corner has a split and needs some glue maybe. No chips or cracks in the glass. I think the back door has been replaced and it has no bottom panel. It has 3 removable shelves 2 with a wood block at the bottom behind the scallops. One scallop has a crack. Look at all the photos and ask questions if you have any. It is 19" high x 11 3/4" wide or deep at the bottom and 3 1/2" wide or deep at the top x 20 1/4" long. It has no writing or advertising on it. Local pick-up is very welcome. Superb Slanted Art Deco Glass Vintage Perfume Bottle w/Frosted Carved Stopper!
This auction is for a gorgeous unusually shaped art deco frosted molded glass perfume bottle. The base is depression glass pink with a raised dome with"rays" molded into the glass from the top of the dome-almost like a pyramid. The back is flat and slanted. The stopper has a frosted glass stopper with a clear glass stick and the same rays in the clear glass portion with an outer edge of heavily molded frosted glass. Beautiful perfume bottle with no chips. Cracks or repairs that I can see. The perfume bottle is 5" from front to back and about 2 1/2" tall. With the stopper, the bottle is 9" from front to the tip of the stopper. We will double box this perfume for shipment. Thick glass and weighs approximately 4 pounds, 7 ounces. The front side of the jar is embossed with: PLANTERS. The jar has a slanted shape to it. The bottom of the jar is ... moreembossed; the embossing is worn and it's hard to read but I believe it reads: PAT APPLD FOR. STREAMLINE JAR, MADE IN U.S.A. The jar measures approximately 9 3/4" tall at the tallest part without the cover on x 9 1/2" wide from front to back at the widest part x 5 1/8" wide from side to side. I don't know if the glass cover is original to the this jar or not but it does seem to be a good fit with just a little play. The cover has a lip that fits around the outside edge of the top rim of the jar(please see photo) There are lots of air bubbles in the jar; it looks like there are hundreds of very tiny air bubbles throughout the glass. Giving it a speckled look. The cover also has air bubbles. The jar looks like it has a seam around it near the bottom. This Planters jar and cover are in overall nice condition. It does have some tiny chips around the top rim of the jar and outside edge of the cover. I don't see any cracks or any other chips. This wonderful Jar will make a nice display piece in any home! The heavy-glass jar measures 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" x 8" and the lid has a 5 1/8" diameter. The blocks are in three sizes. A few are 1 3/4" cubes and the rest are a 3/8" cubes. Most of them have to sides featuring a ribbed design. For auction is an Ashtray or Bowl and is signed Steuben. This came from an estate where most of the belongings were from the 40's and 50's. The lady that had this collected Steuben in that period of time and it was packed away for a very long time. Most of the boxes it came in were either from Gumps or Sakowitz. I do not have the box for this. I have sold almost all of the Steuben in this estate and all buyers have been very satisfied. I don't collect it myself so please if I have left anything out in the description as me before bidding. It has what I believe to be normal suface scratches on the bottom. There are no chips or cracks at all. the glass is thick and it slopes. The area that I would think a cigarette goes if it is used for an ashtray almost looks like a heart. I am listing this as a 1 qt pitcher because there is a marker at 1 qt. but it is not at the very top of the pitcher. It does need a good cleaning. There is some black dirt in and on the lid. And there is also some orange grime and crud around the embossing and in the slanted lines/creases. For auction is an Ashtray or nut Bowl and is signed Steuben. This came from an estate where most of the belongings were from the 40's and 50's. The lady that had this collected Steuben in that period of time and it was packed away for a very long time. Most of the boxes it came in were either from Gumps or Sakowitz. I do not have the box for this. I have sold almost all of the Steuben in this estate and all buyers have been very satisfied.
