This wood box features a Sunapee Trout carved in relief on the sliding lid. It has 3 internal compartments each holding a trout lure, a Brown Trout, a Sunapee Trout, and an Arctic Char. The lures are hand carved and painted wood, with a single hook protruding from the tail, and measure approx. 2 ½ inches long. The wood slide top box measures approx. 6 inches wide, by 4 inches deep, by 2 ½ inches high. All 3 lures are signed on the belly. This box was a part of the collection I acquired last fall. I then decided to make a hollow body 3 string. In building it. I choose a Non-neck thru design, although I do like neck thru cigar box guitars, I wanted to have a slightly different sustain and bell like hollow chime, so it is a bolt on neck as the original guitar made by Huntz Meyer was a bolt on neck and had a hollow sound, something I wanted to expand on. The holes for neck attachment were re-drilled and replaced with longer bronze screws because the original brass mount and neck plate didn't line up. So I took it to the next level by pulling the neck back and drilling a different 4 set holes. For the unique tone of the guitar. I mounted a handcrafted Liberty Bell 3 string guitar pickup and left access to the back by installing an early 1920's Victor cavity cover from an early American radio. All of this mix-match is quite in line with the story behind the original Liberty bell, one of the greatest icons in Colonial American history. You are viewing a slide rule in a nice case. The slide rule has a copyright of 1947 and is made by R.C. Pickett& A.F. Eckel of Chicago.Illinois. This is a Model 3 Deci. Log Log. The photo#4 shows where some of the paint has been worn off. There seems to be little bead dots which might be a part of the rule or maybe not. The case measures 13 inches in length and 3 1/4 inch in width. I don't know to much about slide rules and in the digitalized world the rules have become collectible.

For sale is a Vintage K& E(Keuffel& Esser) 4081-3 Log Log Duplex Decitrig Slide Rule with hard leather case. Based on available K&E information. This slide rule dates to the early 1950s. It has a serial number of 766579 on a model that was sold mid-40s to mid-50s. The instrument measures 12” in length. The case has been personalized(see photos) and the top flap of the case is missing. There is also an ink smudge on the case. The slide rule shows the patina that one would expect from 60 years in and out of a leather case. Otherwise the instrument is in good working condition.
