Up for your bid is a wonderful meat charger/platter from the Cambridge Potteries. This dish has a pioneer lady preparing something on an old cupboard in with an open hearth on the right. All the detail in the picture are close to what a true pioneer kitchen would look like. It is done in blue transfer. Please note- There is one place on the rim that was a mistake from the Company. This"chip" has been glazed over and does not take anything away from the function or looks of this piece. Please look at my pictures and judge for yourself. A well made piece. This is a vintage Camwood Ivory oval meat platter. It was manufactured by Universal Potteries. Inc. during the 1940s up to the late 1950s. It is approximately 11 1/2” long and 9 7/8” across. The gold trim and blue coloring is somewhat worn from use, there are a couple of pressure cracks on the bottom that do not show through(see picture) and a very tiny chip on the underside rim(see picture) There is also crazing on it due to its age. Up for auction is a large earthenware Warwick J. D.company oval meat platter. It is dated June.7, 1880. It is 16 1/4 inches by 11 3/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches high. It is a footed platter with indents for drainage and a bowl area at one end to collect the jiuces. There are no crack or chips or breaks to the top,sides,or edge of the platter. There is one small chip on the footed area under the platter please see pictures. This does not effect the use of this platter. The Asethetic brown transfer is of the famous painting(Stag At Bay) by Sir Edwin Landseer. Warwick made a whole set of dishes with different pictures from Sir Edwin Landseer.It has geometric,Asethetic, Eastlake, Victorian with a Greekkey and a very Adirondack feeling. This listing is for two vintage 1847 Rogers Bros. International Silverplate"VINTAGE" serving pieces: a 7 1/8" sauce ladle and an 8 1/4" cold meat fork. This elegant pattern dates to 1904 and features grapes. Leaves, and vines. Both pieces are in very nice"pre-owned" condition with light overall wear; there is no damage and neither piece is monogrammed. There is light tarnish that I think accentuates the ornate design. Vtg Retail Meat Dealers Association of Chicago Labor Trade Union Lapel Pin Stud!
Up for auction today is a cool vintage trade or labor union collar stud or pin from the Retail Meat Dealers Association of Chicago. I believe the stud to be brass with enamel accents to to the front. It has a threaded stud on the back. And is marked by the Green Duck Co. Chicago. The pin measures approx. 3/4" wide x 11/16" tall. The piece is in great condition.
