I cleaned this throughly. But it is old and has been used. It has normal wear and tear. It has minor scratches and scuffs here and there. But nothing bad. The basket is in good condition with a few minor bends in the wire. But no breaks. The control knob works good and the light comes on. The handles are secure with no cracks. The cord plug in says Leviton on it, so I don't know if it's original. Also the cord plug in part is missing a small nut and bolt which does not affect its function. The cord itself is in great condition. The glass lid is in great shape with no chips, or cracks anywhere. You are not bidding on the booklet. It is free with the fryer. But the booklet is complete, with minimal wear and slight fading. This measures approximately 11" high with the lid on. Oster ODF 520 Cool Touch Deep Fryer 1560 Watts. White Used Once 3 1/2 Pound Capacity. The Oster ODF520 has been totally redesigned. It’s white with light gray base trim and lettering. On the front of this deep fryer there’s a small temperature guide with icons which represent seafood. Vegetables, poultry, and french fried potatoes. Next to the icons are the names I just mentioned, and beneath each name, the recommended frying temperature is indicated in Fahrenheit and centigrade degrees. Near the bottom of the deep fryer there are two control knobs, one for selecting frying temperatures and one for turning the unit on and setting the timer. Frying temperatures range from 300 degrees to 375 degrees, and the timer can be set for up to thirty minutes. This Oster ODF520 has a great safety feature that automatically turns the entire deep fryer ... moreoff when the set frying time expires. Two small indicator lights are situated between the two control dials. One light indicates that the unit is turned on, and the other indicates that the oil is heating up to the desired temperature. When the oil has reached the desired temperature, the indicator light will go out. One very important thing about any good deep fryer is its ability to heat the oil to the desired frying temperature. As soon as I took this deep fryer out of he box and set it up. I filled it up to the max line with vegetable oil, set the thermostat to 375F degrees, and waited for it to heat up. Heating the oil to 375F degrees took about twenty minutes, which isn’t too bad considering the very large capacity of this deep fryer(3.5 lbs) When the heating indicator light went off, I used a candy thermometer to check the temperature of the oil. I was happily surprised to see that the oil was actually 375 degrees.
