This is a large vintage 5# blue and white cattail bailed butter tub. It is a Western Stoneware. Monmouth, IL. piece. It stands 7 inches tall and measures 6 inches at the base. This is a much harder size to to find than the 2 or 3 pound butter tubs in the same pattern. This has the original lid marked with the number 5. I should have included a picture of the bottom. It is impressed WESTERN STONEWARE CO, 5 LB,PLANT(no number) This is a beautiful piece with great color. For accuracy, there is one tiny rim nick. This is right out of my collection and you will love it in yours.

LARGE PRESSED GLASS TUB WITH 2 HANDLES
I am not sure. But this looks like a cache pot or ice bucket in a lovely diamond pressed design. The handles are sawtooth and one of the han dles mid-way has a small chip in the seam. The top edge on one of the panels. One of the diamonds is chipped. The bottom of the pot was originally ground. But with age and use there are some tiny chips and one larger ch ip on the bottom edge see the last pic ture. In other words. This shows use and a little dam age. But it is a lovely item. Vintage Hand Painted Nippon Butter Bowl/Tub w/Ice Insert~Violets From a local estate. This auction offers a beautiful hand painted porcelain butter bowl or tub made in Japan. It is marked"Hand Painted Nippon. The word"Nippon" in western characters means"Japan" and occurs on most Japanese wares from around 1890 until the early 1920's. From 1891, imports to America were required to be marked with the country of origin, in western characters. Thus Japanese exports to America were marked with Nippon in English from this date to 1922, when the requirement was changed so that the word Japan should be used. These are also called"Nippon Wares. This lovely butter tub has its original ice insert intact- you would place shaved or chipped ice in the bowl then cover with the insert, then place your butter pats on top ... moreof that, avoiding direct contact with the ice. It has handles on both sides, and is decorated with delicate violet flowers trimmed in gold. It measures approximately 5 3/4" across the top, including the handles x 2" deep. Just acquired out of the Historic Old West End in Toledo. Ohio, we are able to offer this original, early 1900's Claw Foot Tub faucet. I also acquired from the same estate a nice Arts& Crafts Toilet Paper Roll holder, claw foot tub soap holder and a bronze claw foot tub shower head which I will be listing next. THIS LISTING IS FOR an original early 1900's, large nickel over brass or possibly copper faucet. I did test it with a magnet and it is solid copper or brass, the metal has like a copper shade, but I believe it could be brass as well. I am pretty certain that it is for a claw foot tub, although I suppose it could be for a larger sink as well.
