If you notice the top edge of the top pair and the bottom pair. 2 of them have a bit larger ridge than the other 2, this is to make the tub slope for proper drainage. The odds of having a complete set of both pairs is not very good, but here they are! The taller ones measure about 8" tall. The other pair is maybe 1/3" shorter. The piece that sticks out that mounts to the tub measures 4" from the edge of the ridge in front to the back, and the top surface measures about 4 3/4" wide. They have wear. Flaky white paint, surface rust, etc. etc. but no major problems, and they look really great! They would also repurpose nicely as feet for a small table or footstool. I am not sure if it is nickel or chrome. But I think nickel. As for condition of this piece, I am not sure if all the pieces are there, but I believe what I do have is in pretty good condition for its age. Antique Vintage Kohler Tub/Shower Controls With Spout 1960's
Here is a nice Kohler tub/shower control valve and spout with shower pop-up. This was removed from a 1960's-era bathroom. The valve body is a pass-through design. So you could add another valve set above it in series for a separate shower control or simply block it off. On this particular set, they had short sections of capped pipe to act as hammer arrestors. The shower head trim escutcheon is also included which matches the set, the opening is 3/4" diameter(see final pic) All trim pieces are in nice shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing too bad(see pics) There are light scuffs on the knob faces and some jaw marks on the adjustable trim sleeves(see pics) Once installed, the marks on the sleeves should not be seen. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And some large wrench marks on it from removal(see ... morepics) There are also some mineral deposits on the underside of the spout around the opening. Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers and packing before use. The inlets are 1/2" copper sweat connections, and the spout nipples are still installed(see pics) The set will be broken down into components for shipment. Dimensions are: Hot/cold knobs are 8" apart on-center Escutcheons are 2 1/2" diameter where they meet the wall Hot/cold knobs are approx. 2 1/4" in diameter The spout is 5 1/4" long and is 2 1/2" in diameter where it meets the wall The shower head supply pipe escutcheon is 2 1/4" in diameter Thanks for looking. Here is a nice Kohler tub waste drain/overflow assembly that dates from 1960. This was removed from a Kohler tub that dated from 1960. Also available! All of the chrome is in good shape, and it operates as it should. On the overflow plate and drain stopper. The re are light scuffs on the chrome that is most likely from a slightly abrasive cleaner(see pics) There is very light pitting on the drain trim as well. But overall the pieces are in very n ice shape. Brother Candido used the company's expertise in pumps to develop a submersible bathtub pump for his son, Kenneth, who had developed rheumatoid arthritis in 1943 at the age of 15 months and suffered from chronic pain. The boy received regular hydrotherapy treatments at local hospitals, but Candido could not stand to see his son suffering between visits. He realized that their agricultural water pumps could be adapted to give his son soothing whirlpool treatments in the tub at home. Kenneth Jacuzzi eventually took charge of the company.
