Taylor Dunn 24 volt electric flat cart excellent condition
I believe this is a 2001 cart but I'm not totally sure. It has had 4 brand new batteries installed 2 weeks ago. We have used it since and ran the batteries down and recharged them to ensure the charger was working and as expected the charger works just as it always has. As you can see the cart is clean and in very good cosmetic condition. Only discrepancy is pictured where there is a dent on right back side of cart where you would stand to operate. This dent is believed to be causing the ladder to be very slightly twisted but still very sound(only noticed for the first time while taking pics for listing) Same style Taylor Dunn flat cart very beat up condition had sold for $1100 for parts on eBay and another not beat up but rusty without batteries said to work sold for $1700 on eBay(figure came from an eBay completed sold search about ... more3 months ago when we first decided we would sell it. Taylor Dunn Burden Carrier Cart. Previously owned and operated by a local CAT plant. Sold to a private owner and then I purchased. I have used for the past 2 years in appropriate weather for yard work and hauling on my property. This has worked great. The forward works and the reverse needs work. I never used this in reverse. Parked in my garage and manually pushed this out. Has foam tires so I never had a flat. this is a three wheel cart, 2 person front seat capacity. I painted this cart red, the trim black to match the seat, which is in good condition, and built the wooden side rails, which come with the cart. The headlamp works for night driving, and the pole with the orange light has been removed from the cart. so the pole with this light is not included in the sale. Internal battery charger within the cart, so this can be plugged in ... moreto charge. I either plugged in from an outlet in my garage or my home. When fully charged, it would go about 12 mph and had a range or approximately 20 miles on a full charge. A few of the specs vary but on this cart, this was the average mph and range per full charge. Rear load capacity on average is 2,000 to 3,000 pounds. This has a tow capacity of 2,500 to 10,000 pounds on a full charge. I typically would tow a cart behind this one with a 1,000 pound limit for yard work. This worked well for me. Weight of this is about 1,500 pounds, and is made of a steel unitized body with a front heavy duty 16 gauge diamond plate. Length is approximately 120" Width is approx 45" At highest point with cab the height is approx 70" The rear flat deck for hauling measures approx 42" wide, 75" in length, and is approx 25" in height. Charges on 6 volt batteries, which periodically need the posts cleaned but still work great. I never had to replace a battery. We are listing a Taylor Dunn people mover or cargo mover. We used it in our auction business until a couple of years ago. When we purchased it was robin egg blue and had 3 seats in it which are also included in auction. It was very similar to the ones Walt Disney parks were using. I believe the model is a 1248 H[I am trying to read from picture will update if I am wrong. It weighs 1762 with batteries and 1367 without. that does not include the removable platform which we made from 10guage treadplate which I would guess adds about 125 pounds. It has a capacity of 1400 pounds.There is also a charger included that works. replaced original one] It is a 36 volt machine which uses regular 6 volt golf car batteries in tandem to come up to 36 volt[6 batteries] so they are easy to buy anywhere. Unfortunately our Minnesota winter cooked the ones in ... morethere so I will include a wiring diagram but will remove the batteries and keep those so it is lighter and easier for shipping and no acid to have problems with. Dimensions are 48 wide and 10'6" long. It is 3'8" high without platform and about 5' 1" with. The sides have a piece of metal[where our advertising was] which is just tack welded to cover up places where you could get in and out when seats were there. So it would be easy to get it back to original. If pictures are confusing to you one seat fits over batteries and the other one fits on the back with all of them looking ahead.Seat backs also just had welds ground so it would be easy to install back to original. Cushions are all pretty good with exception of 1 seat back is pretty much start over and the other one is fair which you can see from pictures. If you are buying to convert back to the original 3 seat version, I can keep platform and deduct 50$ from price which would make it easier to ship if you don't want it.
