Up for auction are a pair of Black Diamond Interior fire fighting leather boots. They meet NFPA 1971 2000 Edition standards. I bought these new about 13 years ago and used them actively for a couple years as a PGFD. Maryland fire fighter. I got promoted to Technician(driver/operator) and used them less actively for about 4 more years. I then moved them to my second set of gear(back-up) which got very little work for the remainder of my career. I retired in 2013 and the wife says, Clean out the garage! These are in used condition but have plenty of life left in them. The insoles are Dr. Scholls, but can easily be replaced with the insole of your choice. Use the ones it comes with to trace/cut for the perfect fit on your new insoles if you choose to buy new insoles. The leather toes are nearly intact because, when they were brand new, I placed ... morea layer of grey two-part epoxy over the leather toes. I did this because coworkers were having toes rub through prematurely. The epoxy worked wonders as the toes are still in great condition. The leather boot straps are all intact and in good condition. The soles have most of the tread left in all places. The heels are worn in a typical fashion, but most heel tread is still showing. These boots are in need of some polish and buffing, but other than that, they should still give a couple years of active use.
