Antique 1800s TINTYPE PHOTOGRAPH Young Couple & Daughter Backdrop Unique Holder
Here's your chance to win this beautiful Antique Victorian TINTYPE FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPH inside of an improvised holder. It is a portrait with a false backdrop and has a young Husband and Wife(farmers? Along with a beautiful little girl in a white dress and pigtails, seated on Daddy's lap. The man's hat and jacket are rather unique and do not strike me as upper class. This tintype was purchased in the central Arizona area. The photo is behind the preserver, mat and glass, but the velvet case pad has been adhered to the back of them. The tintype can probably still be pulled out, but I did not attempt to do so. The preserver and velvet pad measure about 3" wide and 3-1/2" tall. The tintype is just a little smaller than that, probably 2-1/2" x 3" It has a few thin scratches. Spotting and aging wear. Hollywood 10X20 photography backdrop
This auction is for a used hollywood lights backdrop. It is a 10X20 drop and has a rod pocket so that you can use it with a stand. I hung it with a rail system in the studio and the hangers did leave small white crimp marks on the very top on the pocket. However when shooting this would not be noticeable since it would be at the very top of the backdrop. Otherwise the backdrop is in good shape. Making room in the studio for new drops and props so it is time to retire this one.

This auction is for a used backdrop. It is approximately 9X16. It used to be 20 long but was too long to fit well in the studio and so it was cut down to approximately 16 long. It has no hem.It has a rod pocket so that you can use it with a stand. I hung it with a rail system in the studio and there may be small crimp marks on the very top on the pocket. Rare. Original sixth-plate daguerreotype of a handsome officer in uniform. One arm is resting on a small table with a book or papers on it; his other hand is tucked into his coat. Great painted backdrop showing a very western looking scene- mountains. Pine trees, and even a log cabin. Definitely an uncommon background. This was hard for me to take a great photo of- I feel that this image is nicer in person than my photos show. NO RESERVE! In a full case that is 3.75" x 3.25" when closed. Condition& Notes Tarnish ring and some areas of lighter tarnish on the plate. Some haze and/or tarnish along the right side and bottom 1/4- this has been exaggerated a bit by my lighting. Light mat abrasions. And a few small, light abrasions/ scratches on the plate. do not detract. Image is nicer than my photos show. Resealed with Filmoplast ... moretape. Includes 4 aluminum rollers in very good shape, very straight, small amount of cosmetic wear from normal use where the roller inserts into to crank mount on two of the four posts(see pics) This system is not a dinky system that only uses inserts on either end to roll an existing roll of paper etc. Each roller is lightweight aluminum about 4" or so in diameter that allow you to roll a heavy weight canvas, or backdrop to it using gaffers tape etc. The crank rod drops down and is manually cranked to roll the backdrop. Rolls up straight every time. I preferred this over the electric motorized version so no surprises during a shoot. I used it to hold heavy rolls of vinyl and heavy duty canvases.
