Esterbrook Desk Set Fountain Pen and 8 Ball Stand 9550 Nib
From the 1940's or 50's is this Esterbrook desk set. Fountain pen and 8 ball stand. The black stand is a little over 3 inches across and 2 inches tall. It has Esterbrook stamped three times around the pen slot. The pen is 7 inches to the tip of the nib and has Esterbrook, the trademark sign, and Made in USA on the opposite side from the fill lever. It is half black and half clear. The nib is stamped Esterbrook 9550 Made in USA. The lever works well but I do not know if the bladder is working. Not being familiar with the workings of the pen, I am selling it as is. It is an attractive desk item.

It is constructed of wrought iron with the center column bolted in 4 sections. The base features a basket design in hammered wrought iron. It has 4 upturned feet and crossbars for stability. Iron leaves and grape vines are attached(welded) to the base and the column sections in a trailing/climbing vine pattern. To My own True Love. Very clean and not written on. It measures 8 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide at its widest part. On the back there is a capitol G. Maybe germany? This valentine is a die cut and the umbrella top stands away from the card itself. the only damage I see is a small amount of water damage on top of the umbrella and the little boy has 2 bends to his wing.
