The Houpt Company began manufacturing cutting equipment in Olney, Illinois, in 1932 and is still operating today. But a brand new long john cutter is probably going to run you around $150, and you'll get this one for a lot less. This maple bar cutter has 8 cutters on its roller and they have small dents and nicks, but nothing major. One handle is in good shape but the other is missing a piece of wood and is loose on its bar. We are pleased to offer this lovely metallic black brown glazed 2 quart water pitcher in the DOUGHNUT/DONUT pattern manufactured by the Hall China Company- made in USA- circa late 1940-early 1950. This solid pitcher stands 7.5" tall and measures 8.5" wide. It is marked on the bottom with the HALL name and numbered 1335 but is very hard to see due to the glaze unless you look in the right light. It is in excellent condition with no nicks. This is an original picture that he took and will eaither have his stamp on the back or his writing about the place that it is about. He had a huge collection of photographs. I have many of his photos and will be posting them on here if you would like to purchase them. This is some of the information I found out on him below; Frank E Claes(1910-2000) of Camden Maine. Photographer Frank E. Claes was formerly of Camden. Me, but by the 1980’s resided in Orland. Me. Claes. A very accomplished photographer, had opened a portrait studio in Camden in 1950. He also copied and made negatives for people, as well as for Historical Societies, Museums, and libraries. ... moreHe was from the old school, keeping a copy of the negatives of the photos, so that people went back to him for copies. He specialized in reproducing copies of Maritime history, including photos of many ships. He said that he held the largest collection of Maritime negatives of anyone in the state. His photos have been featured in museums and in books throughout New England. In 1985. Down East Books of Camden, Me. published a book called WALDO COUNTY- The Way It Was by Frank E. Claes. Formerly of Camden, Me, and residing in Orland, Me. at the time that the book came out. At that time, Down East published 1062 books. The book included each of the towns of Waldo County. This auction is for a Vintage Kreamer Biscuit/ Doughnut Cutter Description: This is a Kreamer biscuit/ doughnut cutter. Kreamer molds/cutters are known for their durability and strength. So. If well taken care of, many of these vintage molds/cutters have retained their shape and are very sturdy. Mine has sat in a bowl for years. I used it mainly for display. It has turned the dark gray color we like to see in vintage cutters& molds. It looks to be in good shape and it feels very sturdy. It is marked"KREAMER" on the top handle. It is approximately 2 ¾" in diameter and 1 1/8" high. It does show scratches and a tiny rust area. Please use the pictures as part of the description.
