I noticed a tiny crack on side, a few tiny chips on one edge and bottom has some orange stuff on it here and there. On the bottom one side has black hard substance and the other side is a soft substance, see pictures. The metal screws are a little rusty, the brass looks good and the wooden knob paint is worn in spots. The switch is in good condition. The top has writing it's hard to read, I think it reads G H& Co. Here we have a Mossman switch. I don’t know much about it. I don’t even know if it is Double Pole/ Double Throw or not. It has obviously been removed from some other device. It is dusty and has wires still attached to it. Make: Mossman Model: 4101 I think. Not completely sure. Markings: MOSSMAN CHICAGO USA Description: 5 and 5/8 inches X 1 and 3/4 inches X 1 and 1/4 inches I do not know what this was originally a part of. INDUSTRIAL MOMENTARY ON/START TOGGLE TWIST SWITCH ~ RACE CAR/HOT ROD STARTER
Here's an industrial type momentary on/start switch with a twist toggle handle that's being sold as is. It's untested by me. But the person I got it from said it was used as a starter switch in a hot rod. The handle moves about 30 degrees to the left with a loud click for it's contact point without locking in to position, and springs back heavily on its own when released. As photo 5 shows, all the threaded parts are in good condition. I didn't notice a manufacturer's name on it, but numbers on the side of the switch read'No. 7, 7N4160' There's only 1 wire hold-down screw still with it, and the 3 contacts are lettered'B- S- R'
