Scratches, and dirt. The 120 looks WONDERFUL! The 110 will look really nice. Too, after cleaning. I am not a reel collector. And I do not know whether the reels work correctly. In turning the cranks they feel right to me. And the brakes seem to work. The two spools are not alike. As seen in the photos. The black spool has fuzzy stuff on the edges(which is hard to see in the photo) and there is a small black crusty lump on each side. One of which is seen in the photo. The writing on the spool box can be seen in the photo. The reel box for the 3-100-120 is worn. But strong. The cardboard insert is torn in several places. 2 Vintage Garcia Fishing Rods 1 Casting and 1 Spinning
1 Casting rod is a 2 pc. and measures 6'0" long it has 5 eyelets and 1 tip which are all intact although the wraps on the bottom are black and the wraps on tip are light red. The cork handle is in fair condition and the reel seat is in fair condition with the thumb screw reel foot lock working good. The only emblem of Garcia is on the reel seat and butt. 1 Spinning rod is a 2 pc. and measures 7'0" long and the only Garcia marking i can make out is in picture 7. This rod has 5 eyelets and 1 tip all wraps intact but the tip is bent and so is 1 eyelet. The cork handle is fair but is missing cork and the reel seat is in good condition. Up for action is an Ultra Rare Hardy All Brass Perfect measuring 2 5/8" in diameter. This size is actually referred to as the"Houghton" Dry Fly reel made for the elite Houghton Fishing Club who's members included Royals and Aristocrats sporting trout on the famed Thames River. England during the early 1890's. The reel is in near excellent but uncleaned condition as pictured, with no cracks anywhere. The reel's action is silky smooth with a strong click and adjustable drag with a creamy butter handle. Please take note that the center screw has broken off(as pictured) but can be easily repaired.
