Vintage Hand Crank Meat Slicer, US Berkel Table Top model
Marked US Berkel. I think this dates to the late 1930's and is a hand crank model. I do not know what model it is. It does operates but needs repainting and re-plating to bring it back to safe use. The base is cast iron with no cracks. The knob at the end of the crank handle is missing and the adjustment knob has some chips on it. Serial number- 519H911. It weighs 70 lbs before boxing. Up for auction today. We have a commercial grade Berkel model 808 deli meat/cheese slicer. This unit is in good working condition and I believe has all of the original parts. The blade appears to have no chips or warping. This model 808 has a 12 1/2" blade and has a gravity feed for slicing either meat or cheese. The unit was cleaned to the point that the"Berkel" names no longer are readable on the unit, but I assure you that it is a Berkel Model 808. It weighs approx 90lbs, and measures approx 24"L x 17"W x 21"H. Even tho I listed local pickup on the shipping, I will ship it UPS or Fed Ex to you location. Commercial Berkel Model 829 Meat Slicer with 14 in. Blade This is a piece of commercial restaurant equipment that came out of a local restaurant that closed down a few years ago. This machine is in good. Used condition. This machine was well-maintained and has been fully tested and found to be in good working order. This machine was cleaned, but it may not be perfect. There may be a little grease in a few of the harder to reach spots. I actually noticed that I forgot to clean the handle on the back of the slicer when I looked at the photos. I’ll make sure to clean it up for the new buyer. It has a few issues that I want to point out. The rod that holds the guard in place has an insert that is missing and was replaced with a few washers. It works as it is. But the guard has a little play in it due to the missing piece. If you take your hand ... moreon it you can rotate it about an inch. The rotation doesn't affect it's function or safety at all. The knob on the meat pusher was replaced with a screw, and the blade has seen better days. The outer insulation on the cord has a few cracks in it. It doesn’t actually go into the wiring and we didn’t have any issues testing it. It also has some light use wear, but has plenty of life left. I understand that this machine would probably need a little work so I priced it accordingly. These run about $1.700.00 new and have a very long life span. If you were willing to order the few parts that are needed you could get a solid machine for a nice discount. Don't get me wrong- you could order it and use it like it is with no problems at all, but I wanted to point out everything needed to bring it back to tip-top order. With that being said. I should mention that you need to specify that you have an“Old-Model" 829 when you’re looking for/ordering parts for this. If you don’t specify this you’ll receive parts for the"New-Model" 829, which may not fit correctly. I have a 7 day handling time on this item because of how large and heavy it is.
