Please rely on the pictures solely for the description. I brought this at an auction thinking it might have more value then I brought it for. I'm probably wrong. It's a carrier compressor. The electrical tag is in the pictures. The model is a 6d44 and says it takes c-7 refrigerant. I think that is R-500. Only because in Internet searches that is what comes up. It looks like it was still attached to the machine it was removed from. I brought it and another compressor in auction so I don't know the condition. It looks fine. It's heavy, could probably be rebuilt if not working and may be working. The bottom line is I know nothing about these things. The pictures will tell all. Reman's are going high. Used CRJ3-0300-PFV Copeland compressor. This is rated at 3 H.P. or 37.900 BTU for R22 refrigerant. This compressor can take the place of a scroll if you want to. Whether it is a scroll or a reciprocating compressor like this one, they both do the same thing, just different methods of compressing the refrigerant. This compressor is used but I can assure you that it will operate perfectly when you install it. It was removed from a unit that was smashed by falling snow and I removed the compressor and silver soldered the lines shut. I then pulled a vacuum on the comprssor and then added a small nitrogen charge to it to prevent any moisture from getting in. The air conditioner was on a regular maintanence program which shows that it was not"beat to death" Because of the nature of compressors and the many of things in a system that can"kill" ... morea compressors there is not warranty on this unit, but again, I can assure you that this is in perfect"used" condition and it will operate fine when you get it. You use the middle of the tool to straighten out capillary tubes and use the ends to make twists or bends without breaking or crimping capillary tubes. 2nd Tool is a Gemline TB-076 Cap Catcher. This tool is like a mini snake which screws into the end of a capillary tube and then you're able to pull it through a chase or pull it out for repair. Both tools are very rare and hard to find but are great tools to have for any Refrigeration Technician to have on them. Check both pictures.
