Gerber Omega CP 2.6.1 Sign Making Software w/ Dongle & Manuals for Edge/Plotters
Hello. Fellow ebayers. This software came with some Gerber equipment that I bought last year. I use FlexiSIGN, so I have no use for it. I did install it on a computer running XP Pro and it worked just fine. I think it is used to run most Gerber printers and plotters. The 2 manuals are still sealed as from the factory. The Omega 2.6.1 CD package was opened. All the other software is still sealed. The dongle end is a little bent, but it plugs in and works as it should. Please do your research and make sure this is right for you before you bid. I don't know much about the software. But I will try to answer any questions. This is an"as is" no returns" auction. 2 Gerber Edge 1 Printers, HS-15 Plotter, And 60+ Foils!!!
This listing is for 2 Gerber Edge 1 thermal printers. A Gerber HS-15 plotter, and approximately 63 rolls of foil for the printers. The 2 gerber edge printers are sold as-is for parts or repair as I don't know what's wrong with them. The guy I bought them from said they didn't work but he wasn't sure what was wrong with them either because he didn't know how to work on them. They are both in good physical condition, one has a side panel off but the panel is included in the listing. The printers could be easy fixes but I don't know enough about them to be sure. The plotter is also sold as-is because it has the motor carriage out of it right now(seller told me) but there is a box of some parts and cords included so it could possible be an easy repair as well. The last thing included in the listing is approximately 63 ... morefoils for the printers. Most of them are used, a couple new ones, a couple used up nearly all the way but I just left them in the lot. Most of the rolls are 100 yard rolls and 50 yard rolls with a couple 25 yard rolls included as well. I did go through and check and see how much% of each roll was left and wrote on each box, the average is about 40-50% per roll. These foils still sell for about a $1 a yard so there is approximately $2000 worth just in the foils! This lot could really be an amazing deal for somebody who knows how to work on these things. Up for Auction is a complete Gerber Edge system. Has printer, cutter, computer with loaded software, scanner, 2 roll holders. I bought this system from a small one man sign shop a couple years ago with plans of getting into printing small decals, but have never had the time to get into it. Haven't needed it for a year now, and we used it very lightly prior to that. Just did a test print two days ago, and its running very well. There are a couple of little glitches. As can be expected in used equipment, but is a workhorse. Very sturdy. Here is the overview: The cover does not stay up anymore. We have just used a clip attached from the wall to keep it up while changing color foil cartridges. The print heads are in great shape and it prints with the same quality as it did when we first got it. Very clean. With no missing pixels, and the color still prints true. Have had a small glitch if the left cartridge clip is slammed into place repeatedly, it tries to spin until ... morewe restart it(as my employee brought to my attention) and hasn't been an issue since we let him go. Do not have the CD's with the driver software to include. This was over $20,000 new. Comes with five foil cartridges. CMYK plus a UV Frog juice clear(Almost full) T he y ellow is empty. This is a used thermal transfer ribbon. With 55m remaining out of the original 91m. It is an original Gerber color foil, but I removed the chip because my printer was having an issue reading it(this is a common issue with Gerber ribbons, and they work the same as intended with the chip removed) Works great and I used what I needed for some specialty parts. Gerber Edge 2 Thermal Printer ( 3 Blown Pixels ) Works Well Besides .
This Is a Gerber Edge Thermal printer. Works great. But has one problem. 3 bad pixels on the printhead. A machine like this is a perfect fit for someone doing small decals or labels. If you do the math. You may get a few less labels/decals per foot because you have to avoid the bad pixels, but that's only a few dollars in vinyl. You save thousands buying this machine over a Edge 2 with a perfect printhead. The previous owner worked with the pixel issue for over a year. I wouldn't recommend this if you need to print large prints. It's a very thin line that doesn't print when you have a blown pixel but it is noticeable up close. This Edge 2 also qualifies for Gerbers trade in rebate. You'll receive $5500 off the price of a new Edge FX with this machine. So this one isn't for everyone.
