This is a DBI SALA 5/8" 16mm rope grab. It is for use w/ 5/8" synthetic lifeline only. I have never used this or one like it so I will describe it the best I can. It appears to be in very good condition. The lever the lanyard attaches to moves freely up& down w/a good spring return. The toothed spool that grabs the cable moves& turns freely. There is a big roller at the top that rolls smoothly. The gate opens& closes smoothly& has a safety device that will only allow it to close fully when in the upright position.
