RIGID 246 CHAIN CUTTER FOR CAST PIPE, CHEAP!
I am selling a Rigid 246 cast pipe cutter. This is a used chain pipe cutter. It was stored for a long time and is in fair condition. The chain doesn't have any frozen links but some of the cutting wheels are very stiff. I didn't have a piece of cast pipe to try it out on. I am sure once you use it a bit it would loosen up. The adjustment knob turns freely and moves the body in and out. The ratchet works. The handle on this unit is about 31 inches long and the chain is around 2ft long. It is not bent or abused. It looks like it just sat around. The chain and body do have some corrosion on them but nothing that affects the usage of the tool. I am starting it off cheap because it isn't in pristine condition. Links are not bound or frozen. All rotate easy. The handle is not original equipment. This one has a 3 piece. Screw together handle. There is also a snap ring retainer that fell out years ago. And lost. The washer that it was holding is now spot welded in place. It could be ground off if repairs were ever needed. This doesn't/hasn't interfered with operation at all.
