Up for bids is a nice vintage model of a Vickers Viking airliner form Dinky Toys(Meccano) The model does have a fair amount of play wear. Especially along the top of the fuselage. The propellers are missing. Please note that earlier Dinky planes did not have a landing gear- this is not a defect. The model is 3 7/8 inches(96 mm) long. With a wingspan of 5 5/8 inches(ca. 12 cm) Please refer to the photographs to judge the condition. I am selling other model planes and am happy to combine items to reduce shipping costs. Up for sale is a very nice vintage(1957) Dinky Toys model of a Vickers Viscount in BEA(British European Airways) delivery colors. The model is in reasonably good condition for its age but does have play wear. Especially along the white crown. Please look at the pictures for an indication of the condition. The propellers are all there, but the port outboard prop is missing a blade. The landing gear is intact and good condition. The aeroplane is 5 inches(12.5 cm) long. With a wingspan of nearly the same dimensions. I have other model planes for sale and am happy to combine multiple purchases to reduce shipping costs. Really hard to find Vickers metal ammo box. This is the ww 1 style that was made until early ww 2. This is 1939 dated on one end. It was covered in a second coat of paint that I carefully removed to reveal the nomenclature on the side and the picture of the bullet on top. With a bit more work it would improve a little more. Missing the metal tab on the leather closure. The hinges are stiff and I did not want to force them. It does easily open and flip over but center hinge is the tight one.
