The one with the white dial(no case- movement only) has a serial number of 28,839,1522(circa 1925) The black dial one has serial number 27,210,814(circa 1924) both have 7 jewel movements. The one with the white dial has a broken balance staff& will need repair. The black dial one tries to run for a bit& then stops…so it will need repair/service also. NO RESERVE I am always trying to offer the nicest vintage watches here on eBay. I am a vintage watch collector and have been collecting for 20+ years and still learning. Here is a Gallet Pocket Chronograph that I have never seen before. It is in a 25 year old filled case that measures 49.2 mm not including the bow. Crown and oval pusher. I believe this watch dates back to the 1930's but am only guessing. It is in great condition and the case shows very little wear. The dial and hands are also in excellent condition. Crystal is fine. Seems to be a split second timer as there are two center sweep second hands. Has a 30 minute register at the 12 o'clock position. I don't know what the sub-seconds register at the 6 o'clock position is used for. This stop watch was used for measuring split times and allowing the cumulative time ... moreto continue. I think it was designed for sporting events like track and field running or horse racing. I have seen some Minerva Stop Watches that were similar. This pocket timer has a 7 jewel Gallet SIGNED movement with 4 adjustments. Swiss made. Has a column wheel movement which makes it a higher end chronograph.
