This is a genuine collector's bit and the back side of the right hand shank is stamped with his maker's mark"DH" as shown in the photos. The shanks measure 7 inches long and the mouthpiece is 5 inches wide by 7/16 inch in diameter. The bit weighs 8.6 ounces so it is a very nice light bit for a young or green horse moving from the snaffle to a shanked bit. Opening the box you can see that several of the caps on the main board are yellow in color and look similar to the current mods being offered by Musical Concepts as seen You can also see the differences in the power section. The chrome parts have corrosion of sorts. But it appears to be something that will clean off as I rubbed a spot or 2 on it and it came off but will require considerable effort and maybe some diss assembly. More than Im willing to do.
