Used transformer. Unknown manufacturer, part number on panel is 134480, and number on core is 130800B. This item was taken from an air conditioning unit, and is in 100% working order. The only issue is a gouge in the black primary lead, exposing the conductor(see pictures) Input is 115/ 120VAC, and output is 24V at 50VAC(around 2A) with screw terminals. The two terminals centered on the transformer are the outputs, the other three have no apparent purpose. Good heavy duty transformer for making medium sized power supply, or repairing central AC.

This is a new old stock core and coil type transformer. Made by Jefferson- Magnetek. It is the same type used in many original neon clocks from the 40s and onward. It is a 6000 volt 20ma. It is a end point ground design unlike the replacements that are now being offered today with isolated secondary coils which cause them to buzz and hum. My family has been in the neon business since 1946. I was raised around this business and I myself have run the business for over 20 years. So I know way too much about neon Transformers. In fact I will suggest that I know more about neon Transformers than most people in the industry. The transformers that I am selling have been checked out thoroughly. There are several ways that you must check a transformer. You cannot simply hook it up to a neon circuit and say that it's working properly. You cannot ... morealso just check the milliamps and suggest that it is working properly. Both the"new old stock" and the used transformers that I am selling.And I'm selling all different sizes and all different conditions. First of all they are checked on both the primary and the secondary windings. For the correct ohms reading. each transformer has a different reading. Then they milliamp reading is taken. And of course a simple spark test. And lastly a full load circuit test is taken. If you buy a transformer that has not been cared for or has been left in a bad neon circuit situation. The secondary windings start to short out amongst themselves. Meanwhile this will create excessive heat within the transformer and cause the transformer to start leaking the potting material or in some cases the tar. If some of the secondary windings have shorted, the transformer will still light a neon circuit and the milliamps may even read correctly. But if this is the case the Transformers days are numbered and will not last much longer. These are USA made split core current transformers by Flex-Core and General Electric. I have included pictures of each set. For the GE set- one is marked as 1000/5 or 200:1 ratio and the other is 200/5 or 40:1both are in good usable condition visually but the leather carrying strap is gone on the 1000/5. The Flex-Core sets include two 1000/5. Two 2000/5, and two 1000/5& 2000/5. I am also including a set of 3 multi ratio multi tap split core transformers. I will also include the tech sheets pictured. The multi ratio set of 3 comes in a tool box that has hook up instructions with it and they are also labeled on the box, this set looks like it was used a lot. Most of these haven't been calibrated since the early 90's and have been in storage for a while.
