This listing is for a USA made Gibson 2009 Fire Bird V. With Lollar Fire Bird pick ups, improved vintage wiring rig and factory hard case. Guitar plays and sounds great. Has very little fret wear, action is pretty low and could easily be lowered if you want, truss rod works just fine. I play slide with no fret buzz or noise. No neck breaks or issues whatsoever. Lollar Firebird pickups are the closest thing to the original 1963 Gibson FB. They are arguably the closest you can get to that vintage classic Firebird sound that so many love. These pups are running close to $350.00 plus installation. The Neck DCR is 6.6k and bridge is 7.2k. I will include the original Gibson neck pup. It has a paper in oil tone cap on the bridge and a treble bleed on the neck which allows you to roll the volume down on the neck and not lose your trebles. There is ... morealso a small shim under the rear of bridge pickup to lift it slightly making the angle parallel to the strings which makes the bridge sound thicker and better(see last photo) If you are looking for a F.B. that actually sounds like a vintage original w/out the sticker shock.this is it. If you are looking for a vintage FB sound, real neck through construction, reverse headstock with banjo tuners(gotta have'em)this is your geetar. I love it.its painful to sell this one. Guitar is in fine condition. There is a very small"beak nick" on the very tip of the headstock(see photo) With the polaris white color it is hard to see imperfections without really looking, at a glance this guitar looks mint, but if you look really close you can see a little bit of worming on the back. One of the tone knobs is not original, the sticker fell off the original so I just bought a new one. Original knob and original ceramic tone cap are both included. Has the traditional banjo style tuners, they work great, wouldn't be a firebird without'em in my opinion. The serial# and date are on the back of the headstock, although they are very hard to see.
