Primitive Candle Holder/Bowl,Crackle,Black Star,Pip Berry,Rags,Country Decor
Primitive Bowl w/Candle. Rag and Pip Ring Listed for your consideration today is a prim wood bowl repurposed as a candle holder. This is a beautiful vintage bowl that I added a heart shaped candle holder to. All is underpainted in black and the bowl and heart have my crackle finish applied. I painted stars around the entire bowl. I used spanish moss to fill around and added a pip berry ring with homespun ties. I grubbied the taper( about 5" Skinny taper) with my spice mix and it's set into the holder with a piece of aged muslin. To finish it off, I attached an aged hang tag that reads"Live, Laugh, Love" The bowl measures 6" in diameter and is 2 1/2" tall. The height of the entire finished piece is 9" not including the wick of the candle. All has been sealed to protect the paint. BOWL. BLACK PATINA, SAN ILDEFONSO PUEBLO. CIRCA 1920s Height: 3 1/2" Rim Diameter: 5" Mid Diameter: 6" Weight: 12 oz. One of the earliest Pueblo black glazed bowls I've yet come across. This is a wonderfully original"uneven" bowl(see top photo looking down) that is glazed to just below the mid section. Streaks of the black glaze can be seen dipping below the perimeter region. This was a consciously thought out action by the potter-to offset the top from the bottom. The effect is striking. Though, as just stated, black streaks dip down below and are scattered at the bottom. Black on black pottery comes from only two New Mexican pueblos-San Ildefonso and Santa Clara-two villages laying along the Rio Grande River just north of Santa Fe. In 1919. Maria Martinez first brought out their black-on-black pottery(black-matte ... moredesign on polished black ware) Many of her children/relatives at both pueblos followed in her tradition. This piece comes from an old Taos family and had been in their possession a very long time-the bowl had been originally purchased at the San Ildefonso Pueblo in around 1920 or 1921. Unsigned. This bowl represents a very early experimental design of black-on-black matte pottery development. The bowl has several nicks. A small chink, and minor"hairline" cracks towards the upper neck area. As previously stated. The bowl is not perfectly round, as one sees in almost all Pueblo pottery today-even back then. The black glaze streaks below the mid-section of the bowl. In all a rare and valuable piece from the earliest days of San Ildefonso pottery beginnings.

Very old Antique Hand hammered Tibetan singing bowl dark black patina spiritual
I have up for auction a beautiful hand hammered Tibetan singing bowl This is not like any other singing bowl that I can find anywhere online. Who knows how old this singing bowl really is. It could be more than hundreds of years old. I have seen some with only about 1/4 of the patina if that and they are up to 300 years old. The patina on this special bell is dark black some slight turquoise on the outside of the black on one side. There are a few spots where there are small nicks in the patina probably from use. But that is the reason for the rich patina. There is one small spot on the bottom that needs cleaned off but I didn't want to hurt the patina so I left it as it is. The inside could use a cleaning also. I obtained this bell in a very spiritual way it is an amazing bell it is 7" across the top and it has a deep deep beautiful ... moretone when played. This is one of those items that you don't ever intend on parting with in your life. I am going to put it up for auction. But will only sell if the price meets the rare value of this amazing bell. I am including a hand carved bell inviter, also called a striker. It was hand carved and crafted from a walking staff of a true spiritual practitioner. It accompanied the practitioner on spiritual journies and then was mindfully hand carved with a chisel. This is a truly loved item. I have not had it evaluated or appraised. Mid-Century Modern Vintage Smoke Gray/Glitter Bowl, Ice Bucket, Black Salad Set
Mid-Century Mod design is distinctive and fun. And this lot is a group of original pieces still in great shape for your next party. Transparent smoke-black with gold glitter, there is a lidded ice bucket with liner, a LARGE oval salad bowl. The set of 2 spoon/fork utensils that go-with are solid smoke-black(no glitter. Bowl is almost 14" long by 9" wide and slopes upward to almost 6" tallest off the table. Nice sheen and very few light scratches upon close inspection but not visible in service due to heavy dusting of gold glitter throughout. Made by"Stylon Art Product New York 1956, this one was used but not abused, probably saved by the plastic utensils. Fork and spoon triangular shaft marked only with"4" and made of some sort of soft plastic/composition which has a satin finish- nice designer pieces whoever ... moremade them- measuring 12" long by 2 1/2" widest. No chips/cracks/deep scratches evident and a light wipe of olive or other salad oil before use yields a rich finish every time. Ice bucket and lid sits 12" tallest off table off-white lid has gold metal flame finial/handle and bucket is light gray transparent plastic with heavy gold glitter outer and white inner liner. No stains/chips/cracks anywhere but top of lid a little dull like fork/spoon. Lug handles 10" widest and 7" across. Inner dimensions 6 1/2" diameter by 7" deep not counting raised lid. No manufacturer's marks. This lot in overall GOOD+ vintage condition. My system has 2 better grades which are VERY GOOD and FINE and 3 that are worse, so my grade for this lot is"better than average" Enlarge pics and email any questions. A beautiful bowl from Flora Naranjo! This bowl is a wonderful black on black. Deep carved bowl. Bowl measures 5 5/8 across opening. About 7 1/2 at fullest point on sides, and 3 1/2 inches high. Mrs. Flora Naranjo was born in 1914. 1915, or 1918 her birth was undocumented. She exhibited at the Indian Market. Santa Fe 1978-1980. Her work is found in the NAAR Collection, Heard Museum, Museum of Indian Arts& Cultures, Santa Fe. Her work also appeared in Arizona Highways Magazine, May 1974. Flora Naranjo was a life long potter always creating beautiful work. Flora taught all her children how to make pottery. Though this was put in the 1935 or later category. CERAMIC BLACK& YELLOW DART BOARD CHIP& DIP BOWL This great dart board chip and dip stands 2 1/4 inches tall and measures 12 3/4 inches wide at the top rim. The bowl has yellow with alternating black panels along with a band of alternating green and white smaller panels above and around the border of the center dip. The bowl has white numbers on a black backround around the border. The bowl is in good condition. However there are a few small scratches on the black border along with a small manufacturing defect that looks to be a pottery pop and a few tiny paint flakes on the edge of the rim. There are also 4 paint flakes on the raised gray dividers on the edge of the center chip bowl and 2 small shallow chips on the outside inner rim that the bowl rests on.
