These beautiful door knob sets come from a house in New England which was built in 1890. I do not know the age of the knobs. They are in excellent working condition. I am selling them as complete sets. With all plate and strike screws, all set screws, strike plates and mortise locks. There are nine privacy sets and two passage sets in all. If need be, I can get my hands on a few more if you would like to outfit your entire house with the same hardware. Item description Antique Sargent wrought steel door knob c.1890. This is a nice knob. Showing average wear with some light pitting, but no rust. Originally, there would have been a bronze finish, of which small traces remain.This is a passage size knob. 2 1/4" in diameter and uses a standard 5/16" square spindle. Condition All of my pieces have been carefully cleaned with attention given to preserving original finishes where they remain intact. Many pieces fall victim to wire brushing and high speed polishing which only results in a rough pitted surface and erosion of the sharpness and detail of the pattern. Super shiny isn't always a good thing. Occasionally I may offer pieces that have suffered this fate but it will be noted in the description. Expect my offerings to be in clean good working order without hidden or undisclosed ... moremechanical flaws. Broken or missing parts unless otherwise noted. Do remember that these pieces are 100- 130 years old and many are just coming out of service so wear and tear is almost always present. Attractive Antique Corbin Cast Iron Lock Plate Milk Glass Door Knob Set
This is an antique set of door knob hardware for one door. There is no key. However. The box appears to be made of cast iron and the turning mechanism works great. It is hallmarked, Corbin" There are some light marks on the milk glass knobs and one of them has a crease line in the glass along the edge. It looks like it came that way from the factory. The knobs measure 1" wide x 2 1/2' across and the lock and turning mechanism box measures 4" x 3 1/4" It is in very good condition. Please e-mail me with any questions. Thanks so much for looking! Vintage Collectible Rectangular Metal Door Plate With One Door Knob
This listing is for a vintage collectible rectangular metal door plate and one door knob. The plate is 7 ¼ inches by 2 3/8 inches. The knob is 2 ¼ inches in diameter. I have left them as I found them so the new owner can clean them up or leave them as they are now. Picture view is front and backside of plate along with the knob.
